If we intend to start off the night with some sex, they will start off naked, then slip into a nightgown after we are done.   This works, but is a bit clunky.  

 
A more important night time consideration, however, is whether they will cuddle.   Some will let you cuddle them all you want, some for only a brief period of time, and others nada.
