Protection against these "feared pests" would be futile--------:(

With the ever evolving bed bug epidemic, have any of you experienced any situations with bed bugs? We can also expand the discussion to crabs. How do you protect yourselves against these and other feared pests associated with intimate and human to human contact?

Bedbugregistry.com is not reliable since most report are submitted by anonymous and some might even be submitted by hotels against other hotels...

Is that I will end up at a hotel that is infested with bed bugs! But luckily it has yet to happen! I have had a chance to check that website and I have not stayed at any of the places listed.

I have always heard that they were real, but never seen one before until recently on the news. I cannot believe how big they are...you'd think you would know if your bed had a whole bunch of those things crawling around in it...Eewwww just the thought of a bug freaks me out!

Has anyone ever physically experienced them???

I'm dying to hear the feedback!

Hugs & Licks,
DP

It does not matter what type of hotel or resort you stay at.  I worked at a 5 Star Resort.  One of our buildings became infested with bedbugs.  I am talking about a beautiful, extremely clean Gold Crown Resort.  So anyone who thinks it matters what type/class of hotel you choose makes a difference, you are dead wrong.  Bed bugs do not discriminate.

When I enter a hotel room I leave my bags by the door.  Bed bugs are dormant during the day and when there is any movement nearby.  They do not jump like fleas do.  Go directly to the bed and pull the sheets up.  Look along the seams and every corner of the mattress.  If you see brown speck stains, get the hell out of there and fast.  Bed bugs live on blood.  When they defecate, they leave a blood stain on the mattresses.  They are extremely difficult to get rid of.  They can live for 6 months without feeding.  God help you if you ever bring them home.  It would be a nightmare.

Good Luck.
