music. I have been searching and I have discovered that there is "getting in the mood music" , "already in the mood music"
and "cool down music". I like to dance to Marvin Gaye but looking for more ideas. I tried the internet and got 957,342 hits. So I've come to the well for suggestions.

A couple of artists come to mind quickly but I will PM you when more occur. In no order: George Duke, Walter Beasley, Carol Whelsman, Gerald Albright, Jessie J, Boney James, Dave Koz, Kirk Whalum, and if you really want to make a big score - Will Downing. You need to catch these incredible artists live if you can. If you catch a Downing concert you will get a fantastic bbbj in your car heading home! I almost forgot Layleh Hathaway - amazing! I've caught two of her concerts.

PS - You'll get a few comments from the "Sweet Home Alabama" assholes but just ignore them. gf60

You are a true dick and have no sense of creating a "mood" through music. I forgive your ignorance but you have been too busy scripting BS on this website ala "chat". If you"ve never sat through a live jazz set then how are you qualified to comment. I'm catching Bob Baldwin live at a concert tomorrow at our local outdoor venue; bringing my premixed Margaritas and some killer Monte Cristos - Cuban. Think twice before showing your ass. gf60

Um, dude...way to be defensive.  I'm pretty good friends with a lot of guys who are in that scene, believe it or not.

I lived in LA, and there was plenty of smooth jazz there.  I'm just saying that it's one type of mood, and it reminds me of the soundtrack of a softporn film.  That's all.

As for Cuban cigars...you don't need to mention those to try to impress me.  I have a stash of Cuban Montecristo Edmundos, Cohiba Robustos, Montecristo No. 2s, and a few others.  It's not hard to get them in the US, and Cubans aren't always better than Dominican or other sticks.

Seems to me you're just getting defensive, but before you start slinging insults at me ("you are a true dick"), you might wanna get an idea of who you're talking to.

Yes, I know it is difficult to fuck to Charlie Parker, but I just can't bring myself to play smooth jazz during a session...besides, it is such a cliche.

I do find it hilarious that GF60 gets all bent outta shape when you start talking about smooth jazz in anything other than a "this is the ultimate mood music," because usually it's the die-hard bebop and traditional jazz guys that get downright belligerent and worked up over the authenticity of things.  :)

Man after my own heart:)Will Downing is an amazing vocalist a great show sounds like you had alot more fun at his concert than I did.lol
I have to agree I love smooth jazz it set the mood and it is mellow enough not to distract.
One of my favorite songs "Between the sheets"Isley Brothers.
Also,you can never go wrong with music from Sade,Anita Baker,or Kem just some of my favs.

I have enya station on  I heart radio, and marvin gaye, and also Celtic/lord of the rings type, and love songs, so I will change it all the time so I don't get bored lol


I have a few clients who cant stand the soft stuff ( they are younger) and want faster stuff like old metal, rock, etc.... those are different and sometimes can be fun lol
