Bargain

Question for the ladies: so if you want a contractor to come over to your home and do some repairs you get several quotes, and when you shop in department stores you go to the sales rack, when you go to buy a car you shop around for the best price. Ok here is the question why get so offended when a client asked for a discount? bargaining is as old as your profession.

None of your examples involves asking for a discount

All are examples of shopping for “the best price” from different service providers. And that happens all the time in this profession. Example: someone might check out 3 providers who they think are comparable, and they choose the one with the lowest price.

yeah...and I go for the cheapest

is she she wearing a Merkin?  You say she is not the prettiest, which is true, so there is nothing wrong with your eyesight.   The sluttiest providers are usually at the top and bottom of the price range, so going cheap gets you the same service as guys paying the big bucks, but as you say, your choices are not as pretty as the high-end slutty girls.

i don't get offended, but...

A snippet from my input to that thread:
"I do not mind a respectful inquiry about rate flexibility during an initial inquiry, although the reply is always no.
Since every part of our interaction factors into my screening process, continuing to pursue it with "I don't pay more than ____" or the like, moves the needle towards a dns."

If you're interested, there's more detail as the why I don't entertain discounting for initial meetings in my complete reply to that thread.

If a TGirl don't gives discount. What makes us think that a "normal" girl will.  

That's it? Yeah, that's it. Even though I'm a equal opportunity offender I don't do it with malice as they say.  
Many times I got in a little bit of trouble for what I said or they thought I said. Specially women, they are so touchy and at work more. They think HR is there to defend them. I stopped talking to women at work. Just like many guy do, they don't even look at them or anything. I'm just glad I don't work in that type of environment anymore.  

Back to you. Oh yeah, whatever.

That is correct you would give them coupons. And providers care more about money than the clients do, if they didn’t they wouldn’t require multi hour appointments. Fact of the matter is that hookers shouldn’t get bent out of shape if someone asked for a discount it’s not offensive. If clients all band together and said we won’t pay your price one of two things will happen you get into another line of work or you accept the offer. But this will never happen because some clients will cross the picket line.

Now why does anyone "bargain"? Maybe because the world does? Haven't you sought the lowest price you could for goods and services on occasion? I am sure you have. Why should p4p be any different?

 
Btw, how do you know "most" ladies feel it's disrespectful? Did you take a poll? Let's be honest. You have no idea what most ladies do or think privately on this issue do you? Of course not. You couldn't possibly.

 
And to be fair to you, you are far from the first who would post such nonsense and you won't be the last. But if it makes you feel uncomfortable, or disrespected, then I would say don't do it. Or do what many other girls do, i.e. complain about it publicly while bargaining privately, so that may be an option for you.

 
But many, many escorts do entertain sub prime offers and some have even openly stated it right here, on these boards that they do, so they must feel there is a benefit for them to do so or they wouldn't do it, right?

 
It's just kinda sad that you think they would throw their professionalism out the window if they did.

Big difference, the clerk has no power to negotiate

Providers, independents at least, are independent businesswomen and they DO have the power to negotiate just like any other business owner.  

 
Not to mention there is a big difference between negotiating a one time, one hour session and negotiating a "better deal" for someone who might provide you with some long term, recurring revenue, but each to their own. Lets go back to your clerk in a store, or better yet lets talk about a service industry, let's say a dry cleaner. Now of course it makes no sense to go to your local dry cleaner and try to talk the girl who works there down from five bucks a garment down to four dollars. BUT let's say you own a company that provides uniforms for your employees and you are looking to give ALL your business to one cleaning company, but you want the best price, do you really think the owner is going to be insulted if you came to him/her and offered to give him all your business if he could give you a better rate? Of course not. So just why do hookers get on their high horse about being "insulted" by people who try to negotiate rates? I have people negotiate my rates all the time, and I charge a LOT more per hour than any sex worker. If I agree to lower my rates, I still have an obligation to do the job I was paid to do and to give it a 100% effort.

I am of the "when in Rome do as the Romans do" mentality

The world is a big place and the US only a small part of it. In many countries simply paying whatever the lady asks without negotiating a "fair price" is a sign of weakness and stupidity and means you aren't even worthy of getting her best service because you are too stupid to know and too weak to do anything about it any how.  

 
Some how in this country the hookers have convinced the johns that somehow it's "disrespectful" to negotiate and pussy whipped johns have lapped this bullshit up to the point where even other johns now look down on guys who "haggle" Great job of marketing by the girls I do have to admit, but it's still bullshit.

Supply and demand...

Just like any business in a capitalist market these girls price their product to meet demand. I’ve even known gals to up their rates to lower the demand.

That said, there was a “swap and shop” page on a different site out in Seattle. I was able to trade various services, mostly automotive, and even tools for time.
