What exactly is going on when the setup goes well, everything seems cool and professional by text, and then when you show up, the escort cannot be reached? As in, you wait...and wait...and text to confirm you are waiting...but you never hear from them again. I mean, who is gaining something from doing this? What do they get from doing this? They got no personal information from me. Been a long time since this happened, but it happened about 3 times.

I think it really is just that simple. Emergencies do crop up too. Many ladies complain about the same thing and that was probably the reason why deposits have become so much more demanded. Both sides do it and neither side will ever really probably get the truth. It is what it is.

So you don't think it's cops collecting plate numbers or something? That's what scared me.

...when it happened to me several years ago. Same as you- everything during the setup was perfect. Bitch just never showed, and offered no explanation despite my repeated attempts for at least some kind of answer. She posted ads that same day and several days afterwards so there was no indication of anything bad having happened. I stopped doing outcalls for years because of her. Live and learn.

Set up a 4 hour dinner date with Melrose Sky in Vegas last year, no show, no text, no call. Emailed her 'scheduler', got offered another lady that I had already researched but chose not to book. I declined. Had a great meal, shared some of my wine with the couple dining next to me. Water under the bridge; have seen it all and done it all in Vegas, to include getting NSed. Had other appointments set up with ladies on that trip I have previously seen, went off like clock work. Her scheduler said she had a personal emergency...maybe she did, maybe not, don't F-ing care.

I had a family emergency and needed to cancel last minute and still had time to send a quick email explaining and apologizing it is not that hard.

Speaking of no shows. I emailed a client to confirm and responded that he was confirming and then he never showed. He explained that I did not respond to his confirmation of my confirmation so he made plans with another provider. Really?

The worst no show was when a client confirmed he was at the hotel . He was sent the room number and then never showed up to my door and no explanation.

Freaked me out

That's what I'm saying -- even if it was some unavoidable emergency, a real pro should contact you somehow to let you know they have to cancel. Even if it's late. Sounds like you are a real pro. So it just makes me wonder -- what does an SW gain from pulling a total vanishing act?

I am new to the hobby, and have had 2 incidents already. I am a full time caretaker to a disabled wife and can rarely get out. Only a couple hours in the morning to go to the gym and shop. I need to schedule appointments in those early hours, and it’s made things difficult. My first provider agreed to meet at her Incall at 8:30am. I was to text to reconfirm the night before. I texted then, and she told me it was too early, and she couldn’t do it. This left me without an arrangement for the time I had organized for the next morning. So, I asked a very nice woman if she would see me the next morning, and she did.
The next was just this week. A highly rated provider, who is famously difficult to get a hold of, agreed to meet me at her incall at 8am. I reconfirmed the night before, and she reconfirmed for 8am.. I showed up at the hotel parking lot and called for her room number. No answer to numerous calls and texts. I finally left, frustrated 20 minutes later. I sent her a text the next day, asking for an explanation. She apologized with a very long, detailed story about her friend showing up a few hours before me, needing refuge from an abusive husband etc. This may have been true, but a single line of text taking maybe a minute, would have satisfied me instead of totally ignoring me sitting in the parking lot. She agreed to meet me that morning, and we did get together then.
Both of these were totally unacceptable. The first, changing her mind about an agreed on time, for no good reason. The second for not texting me when I first arrived to the hotel. I worked in a profession where no shows were a disruption and cost us. I would never no show. And if it were a true emergency, I would text as early as possible. If you can’t make your appointment, let your client know, at least.

Let me be clear, I set an outcall with a lady I have seen previously.  She is with a client or lines up another client or extends with a client.. if they are spending more $$ for less work I get ghosted... happens when I outcall just outside the major city I live in.

Did you put down a deposit for either one of those dates? If so, was the deposit refunded.

Shouldn’t make a difference. How good is your word? A deposit wouldn’t have changed anything. This is just simply an uncaring, unprofessional attitude.

Since you confess you are new to the hobby, there are some but not all providers who;
1.  Have Zero Customer Service Skills
2.  Have Zero Common Courtesy
3.  Will Ghost you for another client they have seen before!
4.  Will Ghost you if a better (longer appt) opportunity comes along!
5.  Are not in this hobby long term, so they don’t care if you write a negative review!  (Hint Hint, refer to #1 and #2)
If you are not a P411 member I suggest you consider joining;  since I joined 9 years ago I have never had scheduling issues nor been ghosted!

In a perfect world, it shouldn’t make a difference, but in the real world, it seems possible that it does. A common denominator in all the no-show encounters in this thread is that no deposit was placed.

You can waste a considerable amount of time with those who just go radio silent.  You don't want to be the one to bail early if they are having some sort of temporary delay.  So you show up and wait around for 20 minutes.

You never know if it is just because they are narcissistic or some other reason.

One reason I can think of is if they have two opportunities pending and the better one hasn't committed yet.  So they don't wave you off in case that one falls through.  Eventually the clock runs out.

The second reason is just plain old procrastination.  They really don't want to do it in the first place, but they need the money, so they can't bring themselves to wave you off, yet they don't follow through and wave you in.  Eventually the clock runs out.

Same thing last yr with Lauren Sahara in Las Vegas.   Texted her the night I landed. Actually texted her as I was waiting for the show to get started at Linq, and she texted right back saying we are still good for our appointment, which was supposed to happen 3 days later. On the day of the appointment, nothing. NO CALL, NO TEXT..  Crickets..

I sometimes feel that is just Las Vegas.  Some guy came in and probably offered her 5-6 hrs v/s my 90 min Go figure...  Things can change at the drop of a hat..  Or maybe she just got drunk and wasted, or stopped by a slot machine randomly, put a couple of bucks and won $10K, and doesn't need to suck dick for next couple of months..

As much as I love Vegas, sometimes I just hate Vegas.. LOL.

Professional courtesy is hard to find as well. Communication is key. If a provider ghosted you it’s rude & disrespectful. Yes, life happens, but it’s not that difficult to communicate that they need to cancel. It literally takes, less than a minute to text, call, or email. I don’t have time to waste & hate when someone wastes my time. Time is something you never get back.

You are exactly right. Stuff happens, sure. But, sending a short text, email or phone call costs nothing and builds goodwill and shows respect. That should be universally followed.

Cops collecting license plate numbers is highly unlikely.  Your presence in a hotel parking lot means nothing - it's not a crime.  That would be a huge waste of LE resources yielding no results.

If cops want to set up a sting, they want you:
1. In the room
2. With cash in hand
3. Asking for P4P action

That makes the prosecution simple and cost-effective for the local DA.

Now, a private investigator hired by your wife/so collecting license plates?  That could be a serious problem when you have to explain it to her or her attorney.  I once parked next to an LAPD cruiser in a hotel parking lot to meet a provider. The cop was working a traffic stop that had pulled off the main road and by happenstance had selected that location.  Act like you belong and...

I know from experience that being a P411 member doesn’t prevent scheduling issues or ghosting, even though officially P411 frowns on such behavior. My worst ever scheduling/ghosting experience was with a well-known, well-reviewed provider I contacted through P411.  There were others too.

I haven’t had a NSNC in a long time. Sure, it was annoying when it happened; no one likes blue balls.
But after having a couple of girls show up drunk, I wish they’d stayed home.

Just to give you a solid example of how I handle things. I was supposed to see my favorite provider on Friday.  On Tuesday, I began to feel like I was coming down with something,  nothing serious, just something minor. But still sick enough. I texted my provider that evening, Tuesday,  explaining what was going on, and cancelled Friday out of an abundance of caution, as she is traveling on the following Monday. I will not risk potentially passing an illness along, so I cancelled with as much advance notice as I had. That is how I view our responsibility to each other.
I don’t consider this anything more than “common courtesy”.

Unlikely she got a better offer last minute, in my case, than a 4hr DD. My guess is the stable she's in use her, pretty blonde, flashy pics as the bait, then switch when she NSs, to give other girls business. I'm not so horny and hard up, and I've been at this way too long, to fall for that scam.
