Now that they have shut down the CL adult section, what is the opinion of the board that they will go after other smiliar sites? ( sorry if this had been brought up earlier) I feel that some of the other sites will moderate themselves, but eventually the heat will die down and this will be forgotten, OR, TER and others will be flooded with new members if the momentum of this "movement" really takes off. Waddya think?
I would think the transference will be to there. A few might migrate to TER, but so far, not seeing it. There was one lady who posted several times on the Newbie board recently that indicated that she was looking to make her presence known, from St. Louis, which does not have a regional board here. Timing may have coincidental, but...
Most of their ads don't comply with the rules, so not many of them hit the boards, but denied posts are way up. Maybe it's coincidental, but we've gotten barraged with spam as well, and some jackass that posts every couple days asking if he can advertise here. You'd think that none of his posts getting approved would be clear enough, but not so far.
I don't think this site will become "flooded" with new members. I think those who mainly went to get girls and got them off of CL were already looking on BP. CV and yes TER (shocking I know)....I don't predict a bazillion new hobbyists and/or provider members.
flooded this other site advertises on BP, flooded BP in the DC area it was busy before now it's crazy, seen a few more girls I never saw trying to be on Datecheck before that I see on my area's section of BP trying to get verified now, I've have a premium on CV for a very long time and I'm seeing more making posts on CV (I thought cv was decent now not so much), but about TER I dunno if it'll be gaining a lot of new girls at least in on things or doing ads like some of these other sites.

It's just like anything else on the internet. CL may have shut down and other may too, but new sites will pop-up in there place. It's like weeds. Pretty futile in my opinion. Napster anyone? That made a big difference.
Just recently I've come back to providing from a hiatus only to see CL is shut down. I've been checking out other places but, it could just be me, backpage feels really spammy and just not very legit. I'm extremely hesitant about opening up my wallet to shell out whatever amount they want for a page that looks like it's been taken over by spam.
In fact I barely used TER before either, I used to have reviews but apparently they time out after inactivity (sigh) so I'm sniffing around for some reliable, reputable sites.
There are two Canadian boards I used to chat on but couldn't advertise on because I'm in Ohio, wish I could find some place like that down here. Just playing the waiting game I guess.
