Trolls. You know the ones. They ask inflammatory questions for the purpose of stirring the pot. They usually post with an alias and most people could guess the real identity of them a good chunk of the time. What amazes me is that in spite of the bright neon sign that screams DANGER AHEAD, the herd of sheep post one by one yelling that the OP is a troll. I'm no rocket scientist but it seems like ignoring them would diminish their activity way more than yelling at them does. I also know that the sheep are in the pen, just waiting for the next troll to come along with a set of shears.
Because there always will be a moron who will rise to the bait. There have been futile attempts to deny a particular troll his/her oxygen on the P&R board, but they have failed. This particular troll, mrnogood, has been ignored by many posters but persists even when others refuse to comment on his/her posts. One must almost honor trolls as persistent as he/she is for their sheer stamina, a result, no doubt, of a serious mental disorder. Bottom line: trolls are as inevitable a part of these boards as aliases. Personally, I love aliases but without them trolls would probably disappear. And what would TER be without trolls and aliases? nick
