Have you caught an STD from this business? Providers? Fellow hobbyists?
After discovering this hobby I think I'm going to become very addicted. I've always thought selling sex was illegal in the US and never even gave a second thought of it. My only concern is... Do you have STDs? Occasional condom breakage? Genital Herpes HSV2 or Genital Warts HPV, which can be transmitted through skin contact?
Have you caught an STD from this business? Providers? Fellow hobbyists?
I've had a few broken condoms, and it's scary because I have herpes and warts. I don't think that I've infected more than a few providers, so you don't need to worry that much. I hope that you understand my use of an alias because I've got a date later in the week and don't want to scare her off.
Ughh I might have to stick to 1 or 2 girls then. The massively reviewed ones might not be a good idea... Gotta find my little niche in the market lol
A low volume girl sees what, 2-3 guys a week if she's really low volume? That's still 100-150 guys a year. Are those guys low volume? How many girls do they see in a year? 10? 20? 100? You can see where this is going.
Seeing low volume girls may give you some false sense of security, but I don't know if it makes a big difference in practice.

I'm not putting down the question but only trying to get across the idea that everything in life has certain risks. The task is to understand them and then understand your own personaly risk tollerance.
I will say this much: I've been hobbying for over 35 years and have seen well over 200 gals in that time for a total of well over 2000 sessions. I haven't contracted a single disease from those encounters.
On the other hand, I've had about 12 civie relationships and encountered two cases of STD and one of the crabs.
Now, what does that say for the safety of the gals who are in this hobby?
I'm not sure if you're telling the truth or making something up to not scare away people. I've done my fair share of research on STDs and the majority of women will have HPV at some point in their lives. Genital herpes is also prevalent since it's also transmitted through skin to skin contact. I am aware that there's risks and also that these diseases aren't necessarily the end of your life. It's just an honest question looking for some honest answers. Apparently some guy caught both genital herpes and warts. I'm glad to see that you didn't over 35 years. That's a relief for me to continue this so called hobby.

It really disgusts me to think providers/clients KNOW they have STDs and still partake in this hobby/lifestyle.
If I ever contracted a non-curable STD from a client I would stop doling what I do. People have families,children and lives that they don't need ruined.
I always take proper precautions but it does scare me to know some clients out there WILL have an STD and still choose to see you. Gross... I get tested every 6months at the gyno and always double check condoms at the start and end of sessions!

I have been a provider for almost 6 yrs, and never contracted anything... But, over the yrs I have had a number of girls come to work with me, and I always have them go get tested beforehand.... Guess what?? The most common response I got was that they got tested at their last pap smear... a yr ago or more!! The civvie girls that I have worked with, on a 50%, all had some kind of STD before entering into provider life.. most common was chlmydia or gonarrhea(sp?) and most had NO clue... and didn't think going to get tested was mandatory unless they had symptoms. So, in general, I think providers are MUCH more adament about their health, and get tested on a regular basis, whether or not there are symptoms present.
I agree with Mr. Fisher. I am fairly new to this and had some of the fears you expressed. After reading the many resources online, I decided to move on (and have had 5 wonderful experiences and looking forward to one tonight!).
I have accepted a certain level of risk and do my best to protect both the lady and myself. Like many posts in newbie section states...stick with well reviewed ladies and educate yourself.
From what I have read and experienced, you have more chances of catching something by picking up a civvie in a bar than you do from an experienced provider. Stick to well-reviewed providers and you will more than likely be ok. After all, for many of these ladies, this is their sole source of support, and they are not likely going to risk their livelihood by passing on any diseases.
Yes, there are risks, but only you can decide if they are worth it. If you are overly concerned, then maybe this is not the hobby for you.

That's what I'm afraid of. I did my research, trust me. A lot of times HSV2 symptoms don't even show and they can pass it on to you. Condoms work like 70%.
yep many, I have often wondered what the protocol is. Ok so providers/hobbyists get checked every 6 months?? let's say that does happen, what is the protocol if something comes up positive. Sure take antibiotics for a week or two, but as you say would they attempt to manage HSV1 or 2???? If something is positive at the check up do you call every John that you have seen since the last check up? Do they then call all the women they have seen since they saw the "positive" pro??

Well, it's not!
No it's not legal but I never assumed people would exploit the law to make it "legal". It just never occurred to me that this many people were doing it.
Another reason to stick to a small number of gals with whom you don't have to sweat possible LE encounters.
Of course all of us in the hobby are taking a risk. I've been in the hobby for 5 years and have never had a disease. Most of us providers take the neccessary safety measures to keep us and our clients safe. I also perform in adult films which requires me to be tested. If I get sick, I will not be able to shoot. No one works with a dirty test.
We all are responsible for our own heatlh. If you stick with good providers that have good reputations and have their heads on straight, you should be fine.
I've heard that they don't test for HSV2 in the adult film industry because pretty much everyone has it?
you can take as many precautions as you are comfortable with. There are many ladies out there who only offer CBJ. Stick with those ladies and that would be another way to lower your risk. Avoid DFK as well if that scares you. Then you are pretty well covered, literally from head to toe
