An aside, very OT, please keep my son in your thoughts

I took my son to the doctor's office today for a persistent cold which morphed into a stubborn fever & rattling cough.  Last Monday, when I took him to the doctor, he was fine... but today his oxygen levels were disturbingly low.  He has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia in his right lung... just a few days short of his 2nd birthday. :(

I am home grabbing a shower and making appropriate arrangements so that I can take care of him while he is in the hospital; my boyfriend is there with him now, so he is not alone.  I am confident that he will be fine, even though he had an allergic reaction to the IV antibiotics he was given.. *sigh*... I would appreciate it if you guys could keep us in our thoughts.  We need all the good vibes we can get right now!

Once the best antibiotic starts to work, along with the oxygen, I am sure he will be fine.
Be very strong for him and keep a smile on both of your faces.

that it was you instead of him. I know exactly how you feel. When my youngest was about that age, we learned that he had a bee sting allergy. When he went through desensitizing, his reactions were so violent that he had to repeat almost every treatment, some of them twice. We almost lost him a couple of times. My thoughts will definitely be with you and your boy. Come back and let us know when he is doing better. He will be doing better---Have faith.

You and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. I know nothing rips me apart more than having one of my kids or grandkids suffering.

and all those whose lives are touched by this. I also wish freedom from suffering for all beings. I am using the smiley face as a reflection of the warmth in my heart and not to be funny.

I will pray for him.
Be strong.

Nothing ever was more difficult for me than when one of my children was sick.

i hope you can remain close to him throughout this ordeal.  i will pray for your sons recovery and Gods blessing on you both.

There's nothing like having a child who is hurting and not being able to do something about it.  I'll be keeping you in my thoughts, too.

These precious little ones are truly angels... they are - at 2 - too young to be anything but.

When his infection subsides, and I an sure that it will - The TER Family prayers seem to be pretty strong - and heard by the big one above - you will feel a lot better... but know that as a parent who has rushed to the hospital on more than one occasion... it seems the worry never ends...!  The very best that I can pray for you is that you worry about him all of your life....  and that is - absolutely the very best!

may God protect your son and restore him to health.

By the way - this is NOT OT.  It is what we are here for.

Definitely keep him smiling and know in your heart that all of us are here for you if you need us

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your son and SO........

Sending you my love and prayers God speed to your beloved son  in is full recovery Livie.

As a parent, you would always wish that any harm or sickness comes upon you instead of your precious child.

Hang in there!

Things will work out well, keep good thoughts!
Ah, the joys of having kids and pets!  Wouldn't trade a second of it,
they are such a gift.

I'm sorry to hear what your son is going through.  I'm sending positive thoughts and good vibes to your family.

I hope by now, his oxygen level is beginning to return.  He will be in all our thoughts until we hear he is out of danger.

Was in the hospital for 10 days with my son when he had pneumonia. It was terrible! Love his heart! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Hugs!

That is such an important part of health.

Bless you for showing this to your son.  We will all send our own positive energy to him.

Butterflydust (I don't dare abbreviate that for obvious reasons.) is at the hospital and can not access TER from there, but she does have her laptop and just emailed me to say that her son is doing much better and she is very hopefull that he will be released today.

She sends her love to all who followed this thread.

And a big public THANK YOU for taking the time to let us all know.

You are THE gentlemen and scholar Mr. F.
