I wouldn't call this stalking. He was not charged with that. This was a case of maliciously trying to ruin somebody's life. He sent letters and pictures of her prostitution services to both her family members and classmates and teachers of a school she attended. His conduct was outrageous.  

I wonder how much (if any) the reward will be reduced on appeal and if she will ever collect. The guy was married and lost his license to practice law. It sounds like he was willing to destroy himself to destroy somebody else.

and deserves everything he got. If he disagrees with her lifestyle so much, all he should do is simply leave her alone. How hard is that to do? ...Not just for what he did to her;  he's a defense attorney who represents pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers in product liability lawsuits.  It's his job to screw people from getting compensated for injuries caused by bad drugs and defective medical devices.

I've dealt with a lot of guys like this scumbag.  They're constipated conservative bible thumpers, but BCD they're like the guy in the OP.  They hate themselves for seeing providers and they take it out on the providers.

Advice to providers - if you're going to see attorneys, don't see criminal prosecutors or civil defense attorneys.  See only criminal defense attorneys and plaintiff's attorneys.

I am assuming that this goes both ways, though.  In other words, I would be interested to see if there were ever any successful lawsuits by guys against ladies for outing them any number of ways such as on a blacklist site?  It sounds like anytime anyone exposes the real identity of someone, that could serve as a basis for a legal claim.  So how do those black list sites get around that and allow ladies to provide personal information?

The article I read never mentioned him going to her father's home. Regardless, the attorney was not a partner in the firm. He was just an associate. Apparently this is not the first time he has been suspended from practice.

I feel for the Plaintiff here and I hope she can move forward with her life, as far as the Defendant is concerned, I do not believe Wal-Mart  could retail stupidity any worse than he did!

Imagine taking a case where you don't know what kind of jury you will get, where there is substantial prejudice against your plaintiff client,  where it is unlikely that there is insurance coverage for defendant's  intentional acts,  where the insurance defense lawyer defendant knows all the tricks and will appeal a successful jury award.  Then,  if the appellate court upholds the verdict - that means the defendant lawyer will have to pay the judgment out of his own pocket after losing his ticket to make dough.  Her lawyer has big balls, took a big chance and should be highly commended!!!

I just read the story.  If he wanted her to stop working, why didn't he offer to pay her f*cking bills.  Oh no, he won't do that, will he?  Instead he expects her to starve.  I wish women didn't have so much shame about turning to the sex industry for money.  We aren't in the 70s anymore with a good economy.
