Like, do you watch the clock yourself to make sure you don't extend your stay or do you just enjoy yourself (not look at the time) and wait for the provider to tell you that time's up or that you should get dressed, etc?

So leaving can often be a problem...I usually have to excuse myself after a bit. The morning before Sandy, I was invited to wait out the storm, I have dogs, so not possible. I got out just before all the Highways were closed up.

It's a good signal to a provider that you respect her time if you have some awareness of the time.

I am guilty of this fault myself though, especially if conversation and or play activities seem natural.

By the same token, she will likely give you a hint when it's time to dress. Until then just enjoy the company. Maybe she's got no other plans and doesn't mind chillin'.  (Hey, it could happen, right?)

DON'T OVERSTAY your time on purpose unless you're planning to pay it's just rude even if she's too nice to "kick you out" or drop a hint it's time for you to go. I've had clients ask if they could check the time because they're um what's the word.....CONSIDERATE. Sometimes good manners and being kind doesn't cost anything. She shouldn't abuse your time, don't abuse hers. YOU SHOULD enjoy yourself without obsessing over the time but don't go out of your way to again overstay on purpose.

10 before time is up because it takes them that long to get dressed and gather their things. Some guys wait til the exact minute...up to you I guess. I am not a stickler about 10-15 minutes over, but if you are camping out for a half hour, that is going to be a problem unless we have discussed going out for a drink or something.

because I think it's rude to presume on a girl's time.  I don't ever want to put her in the position of  having to ask me to leave.  That said, lots of times girls will let me know they're in no rush or would be happy to spend some OTC time having drinks or dinner.  Believe me, they know how to send the signals.  If you don't get one, better leave on time.

Usually both the provider know when the session is done.  Sometimes I want a second round, time-permitting.  Sometimes I don't.  

I will sometimes tell a provider..."Wow, I am really horny and may need to go two,rounds."  Her answer usually gives me an indication of how she feels about time. and going again.

On a few occasions she's left a few minutes before our time was up, but on most occasions we end up hanging out and chatting or going to grab a bite to eat.  I hate to watch the clock, so I'll let her know up front that I won't be kicking her out and she can leave whenever she wants.  She respects my wishes and I respect her time and don't ever expect any more than the 2,4,6 hours we've booked and 98% of the time it works out great.

The other 2%?  Well we probably weren't connecting anyway, so  she was doing us both a favor.

I always check the clock!! My current fave always wears a watch!! She doesn't check it , but I do when it's near ending time!! I have to laugh when she tells me don't worry about what the watch states!! It's always a hour ahead!! She doesn't want to think i went over a hour!! TOO funny!!

Usually with about 10 minutes left of the original hour...I let the hooker know that I'm invoking my NBA/NFL time complete with at least 3 time outs.

That way she has to live up to the originally bargained time of one hour...but as many NFL/NBA widows know that those last 10 minutes can and do take close to an hour of real time.

I've only gotten flagged for illegal procedure once...but I appealed to league offices and this too was ultimately overturned.

most hobbyists that post reviews find the need to single out a provider for watching the clock so they might avoid doing so. I enter into our agreement knowing exactly how much time we have (after all I'm the one who requested it) so I feel it's my responsibility to keep track of the time. I've been asked a few times to stay longer and have had providers stay longer at outcalls but I don't take advantage of that. So I guess the direct answer to your question is I start getting dressed about 3 minutes till as I know it will take me that long to do so and get out the door. If I'm ever asked to leave early, I'll never go back.
