I know that sometimes the mods seem bit harsh. But they do tend to be fair, and they have been helpful every time I contacted them. They have deleted a post for me in the past. If the thread has taken a life of its own they may say no, though.

I started a thread that didn't go well.  (It got negative comments and I feel bad about it).  Now I'd like to just delete it.  Is it possible to do that?  Or should I just be more careful next time?

Scoed is correct, one of the best ways to remove a post is to simply edit all the text out of your post. It will come back in the moderator's approval queue and he can then reject your post as it will have no text.

If your post is too old to edit, which I believe to true in your case, I would suggest following Scoed's advice and contact the mod of that board, which I am assuming is Doc Gonzo, and ask him to remove it. Doc has got a lot bigger heart than I, and will probably grant your request. If he refuses tell him GaGambler said he was a cold hearted bastard who should be over on the P&R with the rest of the cretins. lol

Good luck, it looks like the LA board is an even tougher place than here. At least we have "one" nice moderator over here. I'll let you guess which one is the "nice one" lol

All I know is when I woke up, I was bald, there was (I hope) monkey feces on the walls, and Gambler had a banana up his, well, you know...

And don't ask about the condoms on the ceiling....

And there was LP, having room service with a shit-eating grin on his face.

Was kinda unsettling, seeing him eat steak and eggs, with a pitcher of Margaritas to down it with, just giggling....
