Traveling to another city...How far in advance to contact provider to schedule

I'm planning on traveling in a few months and will have a few days in a new city so I would like to enjoy the limited time I will be there. What is the appropriate time frame before I plan on arriving in the city to reach out to a provider in order to schedule a meeting?

It took me a month to finally nail down a provider in Dallas for a session while I'm at a meeting there this week.

3 different providers all fizzled out before I finally connected with someone. Between the back and forth and the waiting to hear from them, almost a month was lost.

I've found that booking too far out is less reliable because things come up and providers become unexpectedly unavailable.

Some providers may ask for a cancellation fee. It also depends on how long you staying  in town.

My advice is to make initial contact when you settle on some target dates.  Introduce yourself, let her know that you're in the early stages of making plans and inquire about availability for the time you'll be there.

And then, when your plans have solidified, contact her again to settle on specific dates/times/etc.

Contacting someone way too far in advance is not a good thing.  Hard for hookers to take you seriously, and they might ask you to contact them when it gets closer. Can't really blame them for that..   Then there are those who are really disorganized. What is the point of contacting them at all. I don't deal with unorganized folks..

As a rule of thumb, when traveling I contact hookers a month in advance, and then inform them that I will contact again a week out from my travel dates.  For reminders, I set up my reminder ahead of time. In Gmail you can do that.

If they can't deal with the way I conduct business and plan things out, I don't need to see them. They would probably suck anyway, and not in a good way..

Most of my dates were when I was traveling. I usually booked a month in advance and then checked back a week before and again a day before. In 20 years, I rarely had a problem.

I am only speaking for myself because I prefer planning way in advance. 1, 2, or 3 months ahead is perfect for me & it gives me something to look forward too!

For me, a month is the perfect time.

Less than a month, I feel like I am rushing.

If it's more than a month in advance, I don't know what days I'll be available and can appear as a timewaster

If I have visited the provider before, I will give a longer lead time and state that a few weeks out we can set a time and day.

I hate deposits and avoid them.  When it is someone new lead time is much shorter.

The more time in advance, the better.
Once I received a deposit, the time on my calendar is blocked.

Since I’m in a situation where it’s mf and looking for the f we research. At first I did the reaching out. Then found if my wife does it works better. Because as we know men are stupid. How far out? Just depends really. Soon as you see the stupid deposit shit that makes it easy to not engage anyways.

It makes it so much easier. Once secured (deposit paid), it's locked in my calendar. Right now, I have clients who are traveling to my area booking 1-3 months out.
