I posted this on the Atlanta board, but it appears to be spread across the nation, so I thought that I would post the info here too. Apparently, it's heating up this summer in more ways than one. Check out the news articles below.
"Police assert that a lot of crime comes out of prostitution, from petty theft to homicide. Whether the sting operations will make a difference remains to be seen."
I guess "Mothers-milk" really does lead to hard drugs!.
"It's all about the money" ... repeat 3 times, then rinse!
anyone who really understands the bean-counting system, not to mention the warped politics, behind the allocation of LE $$$$$$$/resources by City/State government (to justify their continued existence and to buy new cruisers with plush leather interiors and fancy toy gadgets!) would know the real motives behind these sting operations. the last thing they're thinking of is the public's safety and well-being
these "coordinated" stings errupt like a bad genital rash and then only near election time and other "banner years"
It's a lot easier for these so called law enforcers to pick on participants in a victimless "crime" than to crack down on the dangerous types like murderers, abusers of women and children, and terrorists. Big press due to prurient interest.
The Puritans, as you may recall, outlawed the practice of "bear-baiting" - a sport indulged in during the Colonial era. A famous American (whose name I do not recall, but it may have been Ben Franklin) commented: "The Puritans outlawed "bear-baiting" - not because it brought pain to the bears, but rather because it brought pleasure to the spectators!"
The 2 ladies in the second link were arrested for "crimes against nature"....
Crimes against nature? WTF is that? These cops have nothing better to do with their time paid for by the ever burdened tax payers....
Back in the days of Al Capone, alcohol was prohibited. I guess it was a crime against nature to drink what the Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Chinese, and practically everyone in the Bible from Abraham to JC himself were drinking. The enlightened (read=idiot) politicians passed laws that made Al Capone one of the richest and most powerful man in the Midwest. Several years later, the Prohibition was disbanded and alcohol became legal again. Today, the biggest ads in the Super Bowl half time commercial are Budweiser commercials. Does this make any sense to you?
How is online escorting dangerous to society? They said that every teenager now has access to a PC and internet and it will lure them into prostitution. What a crock of zhit! It's like telling me stopping me and ticketing me for going 52 mph in a 45 mph zone is making the streets safer. It is all about revenues.
