As I thought....providing your own transportation means you don't have to pay a driver. And you are right, an agency that does strictly outcall has far less in expenses (I would think) than one that has to maintain a physical presence, and all the asociated expense (including whatever it takes to make sure LE doesn't pay an unwelcome visit).
Thus, your 62% cut is a bit more generous than what I had described...
BTW....the middle of nowhere is SUCH a large place...care to give us a little tiny clue?
I was just wondering how much the average girl keeps out of a provider fee of say, $200/hr? Perhaps a provider can give me a general idea? The area is Cleveland, OH if location has anything to do with it.
My agency takes 38% and I get the rest. I also get to keep any tips I make. This works for me because they screen potential clients and also provide legal services, should the worst happen. Because I am a student and really can't afford to be "exposed," I'm more than happy to let them keep 38% to do the legwork. Hope everyone's well. Love, Anne
I provide my own transportation and I don't have a driver. Mind you, I do drive all over hither and yon, as I live in a very rural area, and often put 250 miles per night on my car, so transportation really is an expense. Part of this is because the city I work out of is over an hour from where I live (this is okay by me). I only do outcall, as I can _just_imagine_ my 80 year-old neighbor's reaction to incall.
What else? Yes, I get to keep my tips, and sometimes the tips are fantastic. I don't charge for "extras", so the tips are just appreciation, etc.
BTW, I just can't imagine that my agency has that much of an overhead. I've seen the office and it's a big nothing. Of course, they are running a bigger risk with LE than I am, and as I said, I appreciate the safety that they provide me.
Well, any of yall who ever come visit the middle of nowehere, be sure to give me a call! Anne

Hiya, MLAM-- I live in the Southern Appalachians, but as I'm a transplanted Yankee, I haven't the charming accent. Folks around here tell me that I may be a Yankee, but I'm not a "damn Yankee," because I'm not from New York. LOL. I do travel around a bit, to academic conferences and suchlike. I've never mixed my...ummmm...avocation with my current vocation before, but could probably do so. I hope you have a great day. As for me, I'll be grading papers (ugh). *kisses* Anne
