TER General Board

As a moderated member I haven't noticed.

It would be a strange policy if that is the case. Nothing would surprise me though. Likely some form of lag though.

P.S. who ever PMed me I don't have VIP at this time and can't read it. If you wish you can email me on my hooker board email [email protected]. thank you.

The first is that while I am not moderated (to my knowledge), about one in every five or so posts I make are held for a few minutes, at least, before going up.

The second, is that when I edit a post, rather that being held for a few minutes as in the past (This was instituted as a way of preventing moderated members by-passing that moderation some years ago.), they go up right away.

Is there a new random moderation policy as well as a relaxing of the editing post moderation policy?

Has anyone else noticed this?

From my perspective I'm not down with the first, but love the second

I've noticed it too.
Though I didn't pay too much attention since it's been a few since I was as active.

All's well

And yes; TER does “randomly” moderate even those who are UN-moderated.

Perhaps you were not affected before because you have been using classic, and now you are using new TER more often since Classic always seems to be down. However, I don't ubderstand how you wouldn't even know about these things since there have been so many threads about this and you have even posted on some of them.

It actually started almost exactly two years ago when all the other changes (like getting rid of the real mods) were made.  Since then there's been random moderation of individual posts.  They get held until one of the current admin people read and approve them.  The ability to edit posts and have them come right up unmoderated also started then.  In the old days, all such posts were moderated to keep people from changing their posts in order to make subsequent posters look stupid.
As for why mrfisher hasn't noticed this, please be merciful.  He just got married and it may have caused some sort of dementia.

to get my posts posted. For instance, if I want to say: "You're an asshole" (not talking about you, Mr. Fish). I say: "Hey Pussy! You're an asshole" Most of my posts slide right on through.

If you're moderated, you're moderated.  If you're not then it makes no difference how nasty your posts are.  They go right up.  The only way they'll disappear is if someone complains.
Oh, and it's "Fuck board."  Only HooktardGold is allowed to use asterisks, because she's such a P*ssy.

Moderated! Moderated, Confusion 06660

My point was that they probably skim the posts, so I add key words (like Pussy) to get the "OK, next" approval.

And my point is your little scheme is not necessary and does not work.  I don't think they "skim" the posts.  Posts just randomly go into moderation.  Nothing you put into them makes them more or less likely to do so, though there are certain subjects/words they key on.  But "Pussy" ain't one of them.  Bank on it.

About 1 out of every 5 of my posts go up after 90 minutes or so...the others about 5-15 minutes, and very few up right away. So I assume I'm moderated.

Which makes sense, the foulness that come from me is astounding.

They usually do it.  Even for those who exude foulness.

I was unmoderated until my new alter ego as ADJ.

I didnt request to be unmoderated but admin has sent a message essentially saying:

--Several Mangina pussies have complained that you are mean and abusive to them. We don't always agree, but...

But I have noticed that the overwhelming influx of mangina based posts is disconcerting.

Perhaps a new board that is just for mangina's should be considered....you know, a safe haven where they can have their feelings coddled by the same hookers who need attention themselves.

Perhaps they can call it the newbie board?

I'd like to see the gals post a direct link on their sites to that board so the lonely and dejected johnnie boys can go straight there...after reading her bio of filmography and photography, perhaps some poetry and erotic stories so they can get in touch with their inner selves.

Seems like a win-win for all concerned  ;)

Second, dude, get over your mangina hatred...embrace your inner mangina, like yoga.

My mother Fantine taught me to love manginas...and my father Jean was a huge one but he could also lift a ship...

I know that Jean valjean was quite the manly man.  He single handedly caused the suicide of LE...I don't think many mangina boys here are going to get any LE to commit suicide.  They may have a few readers here however ready to strangle them  LOL

And Marius was no pussy himself...took one for the resistance.  Dragged through a sea of shit as well.

Oh..and I have it on good authority he was fucking Eponine.  I think Eponine even WL liamdoherty even though she never saw him.  Such a slut she is  ;)

After all ask around I am the biggest nonhuman around. Just ask GaGambler.

I'll discuss with Admin about making sure that you're the President of the new Mangina board.

I guess Rod will have to settle for Executive VP  ;)

How the hell did it come up with "nonhuman" from "mangina" I can't guess. LOL.

Yes, I have seen randomness in posts appearing. Looks like my posts that begin threads take a bit longer (5-15 minutes) than replies.

There are exceptions however, a few days ago one of my leading posts appeared within 5-10 seconds of me hitting "post".

:-)

No biggie, one way or the other... This is a play space for me. How about you?

I don't mind a few minutes delay in the posting; this isn't a chat room.  I'd prefer more moderating if it would get the trolls and haters off the forum.  There seems to be a lot of hostility here at times.  Clearly, these people aren't relaxing in the style that TER is about!  This is supposed to be fun...

It would be quite simple for the Admins to clear any hostility out of here...if that is what they wanted to do.

But since the boards are the way they are...it would seem that you're opinion here is not what the Admins are seeking.

Feel free to start your own site and then you can ban whoever you would like.  Until then, play nice here  LOL

There are days when most of my posts are held for a few minutes. It may be nothing more than the site being overloaded and posts sitting in a queue waiting to be activated. I've questioned TER a number of times and all they say is I'm not moderated. Must be site slowness.

too long a post...  sometimes opening another window to research a topic or acronym...   It's probably triggering a protective mode.  I'm cool with it.  It usually goes up in very few minutes

When I first joined, it seemed like all my posts were held for review. After time, the posts went to the board immediately. If I would post something that was disapproved, then subsequent posts would be delayed. After a bit, I was back to having my posts go up right away.

It almost seems like there's a little probationary period after a pulled post.

Or is it the drugs kicking in?

My guess is that the monitor have no hard and fast rules to follow and that they do their best to be on the lookout for poison posts rather than set up or follow strict policies.
