Drew's post was an infantile 'ooh gross' and ignored the fact that many transgender folk use this site, and invited others to pile on. Yes, I'm sensitive about mocking anyone's sexual orientation or identity, let alone pointing an 'ooh gross' finger at what a transgender person might go through in surgery. I have had gay friends who I have seen suffer enormously simply for who they have the capacity to love. I have visited their homes and seen their parents treat them like they didn't exist. A very close friend of mine has a child who is transgender, I watched that child grow up and endure horrible confusion, watched her suffer through high school and know she is still wrestling with life in college. People on this site should be extremely non-judgmental considering their own position in society.
