Your "wives, houses, jobs and reputations."?

This came from a thread on the NYC board about screening, but I think it's a more interesting topic.

Personally I am not risking all that if my activities came to light. I am self employed, and my wife is cool.

But what about you, would you lose everything if you slipped up?

Would it be worth it if could cost so much?

I was just thinking about posting a similar thread a few days ago.

Well I own my business so no problem in that respect.  

But I can assure you MY WIFE IS NOT COOL in this regard.  If this ever came to light my a-- would be toast.  

It is something I think about from time to time.  But thanks to TER - "dating" well reviewed ladies helps cut down the "outing" factor.  I don't use agencies (see the recent bust in Phoenix) and I don't do streetwalkers or strip clubs.  So I feel a high degree of safety thanks to this community.

But again man if I ever were caught HOLY S--- my wife would FREEK OUT!!!

And yes I probably would lose everything.

To what the lady is risking.

has a career outside of the hobby and is worried about being "outed".

Just my opinion but I would have to think if a provider is married then the husband would have to know that she is engaged in this world.  So could she really be caught by her spouse?  But that is a completely different conversation altogether.  If any women do keep this secret from your man please post tips for us guys!!

But  1/2 of everything . That is what most of the men would lose as far as those things that we can assign a dollar value to .

As for the rest  , everything that is not of monetary value well IDK how you put a value on that .

I can tell you this.....
My ex was in the hobby . He is now out and look who is in. I wonder what any of the guys would feel or do if the tables turned the way my ex has found they have for him .

At least you know who you are seeing via reviews, websites, ads and photos.  We have no clue who may be walking in our door, or who's door we are knocking on.

We could be seeing a mass murderer and not know it.  We risk being robbed, beaten and battered every time we see someone.  

A lot of ladies families don't know what they do, so they are also risking the chance to be outed.  The risks weigh in pretty evenly for both parties IMO.

A woman risks her LIFE every time she lets a man she doesn't know into her room or knocks on the door of a total stranger.

... to the ability to work in some human service jobs, can be affected... Arrest carries huge risks all around, whether it be in the realm of relationships, child custody, or careers. Anyone ever heard of a CORI check? (Not to mention OTHER "risks" like possible violence or stds... to which providers are arguably more vulnerable to than their male clients.)  That's why it's in EVERYONE'S best interest to play as safely and discretely as possible! Three cheers for safety and discretion!!!

Most hobbyists are married. Some of us have jobs that require bonding and security clearance.
I know of a couple of hobbyists that are now divorced because of being outed or caught indulging in the hobby. One lost his job.
We are also at risk of being blackmailed and extorted. Remember what happened in TN recently?

Now, I know the Whiteknights are out who will only talk about the provider's risks. Yes, they are at risk and I stated to you previously that it should not be minimized.
Both sides have to be cautious, and approach the hobby with common sense to minimize the risks.
Let us ALL be careful out there.

 

I would hope that if the tables were turned, that she would pick up more of the household expenses, thus freeing up my cash flow to hobby a little more.

Providers have the problem of being OUTED which causes a bigger problem for them..
Losing the love of their family is the biggest one, or job, or friends, or where they live.
For those that OUT others, because of jealousy or anger or whatever the lame reasons they have really don't realize or care exactly what their actions are doing to others that might be innocent bystanders, The mafia doesn't even go after the families.
I was asked in an interview for a Provider safe site for Providers that have been Outed,
"What would you tell other that are thinking of becoming a Provider?" and my response was for them to make a list of the people or things they would miss the most if they lost them, and after listing it all, look at it and say to yourself,
IS IT WORTH LOSING?  then they would come up with their answer of coming into this profession.
Unfortunatly i never did that!
