Anybody have any thoughts?

There was an article in the Times today regarding a Polish man who walked into a brpthel near home, only to discover that his wife was working there.  They are now in the process of divorce.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Yes, I saw it in the news, too. Odd... Makes me wonder about how solid their relationship was.

Personally it wouldn't be the providing part that would upset me (that could be fun), but the lying part. I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend or SO that was a provider, but just don't lie to me about it. In that article both of them were lying to the other, I think that is probably what made the difference as to whether or not to continue with the marriage.

...She was working there.

I wonder if she ever provided before they got married.

I wonder how long he was visiting brothels.

They both need to get tested..

which I assume she was, She, at least was already getting tested.

BTW what makes them anymore in need of testing, than anyone on this board? We do of course, but I don't recall anybody being "singled out" like this for testing without having entered in to a much higher risk category than working in or frequenting a legal brothel.

Everyone in this scenario is in some place they should not have been.

Doesn't mention if the brothel was legal or not so your assumption is just that. Maybe you are familiar with the regulation of the sex trade in Poland but I am not since I've never  been there. Maybe she was already getting tested, maybe she was not.

"Singled out"? Come on GG, I was responding to a post with a simple opinion.  I'm not the STD militia, I was just making a comment.

if you are married and your wife wants something, either give it to her or you can expect her to find a way to get it.

in my experience, women are seldom satisfied to go without.

When you consider the number of providers, there are a lot of ways for them to be spotted by husbands, relatives, friends . . .

I'm reminded of a scene in Woody Allen's "What's Up Tiger Lily?" where a guy is in a brothel with the line of women making his choice, and suddenly he says "Mom!" lol.

B:

OK, since we're all here doing what he did, what would those of us with SOs do if one of us should discover that the provider he had "hooked up" with turned out to be his SO?  I realize that with screening it would be hard to miss, but with dual ID's on both parts and wigs, etc. on the part of the woman, maybe it could happen . . .
