Anybody gone through the process of getting verified, only to get as the final step an email saying to gain access I need to download their app? Then, when you click on the link to download their app, it takes you to you phones Store to download the Sapces by Wix app?

Not only did my search show up nothing about downloading it to gain access to an agency's booking, it's not mentioned at all!

Which org or agency or RA did this?

This much I'll share: I don't even know what an "RA" is, so probably NOT one of those.

I'm just looking to find out more about agencies' use of Spaces as their customer facing portal.

Never heard of such a thing. Forget it!

Yeah, I don't get it. I submitted more PII than I'm comfortable with, and now I'm supposed to download an app. I don't think so.

If I'm ever in LV... nice agency you've got there, bub.

Verify that this the booking link they expect you to use.
If so, then decide if the risk of an unknown app is in your comfort zone.

Precisely. Thanks. It's not like they don't have a phone number. In fact, I've spoken to them before. For some reason I'm dragging my feat. I need to call them.

I am assuming that Spaces by Wix is a tool that clients (e.g., the Agency) customizes to promote their services to you. I assume that Spaces by Wix has MANY built-in features that be turned on or off or required to be used by the client (Agency). E.g., some clients (NOT-Agency) want your phone (texting) number and nothing else so they customize Wix to do that ONLY. Other clients (Agency?) might set up their version so that it "requires access to Contact list, Photos, Camera, Location, ..." etc..
.
I don't care what the App is, but if they are asking for access / control of stuff they don't need, I will NOT download and install that app.

Oh ... when I was in college, RA was "resident assistant" in the dorms. Some of them were quite pretty!

That email jumped the gun. They had yet to approve my application, which usually precedes the "invitation" to use their Spaces by Wix MOBILE APP. It's just a convenience for those open to downloading it. This time, I got an email with an "invite code," which make more sense than the first email.

Edit: I'm going to try it on my burner. When I do, I'll give you an update in case this is the start of a trend.

It's a well performing app. It loads a client's (agency's, in this case) info quickly, even on a phone with a severely challenged microprocessor and resource thin. Navigating is painless from the latency perspective. Once loaded, you will be asked if you were invited with an invite code, which was my case. I entered the code and the rest went smoothly.

Extremely important to me is that the installation process is uncomplicated and non-intrusive. It doesn't ask for any additional information from you and didn't require access to any other info on the phone... It really is standalone. When I went to the blog page on the agency's site, there's actually a sticky recommending that, if you used your real email sign up for the service, follow their directions on how to change it to a throwaway account before you start posting!

After that, it all comes down to the agency's design of their site within Spaces. The agency that 'invited' me needs to work on their presentation. It's pretty slick, and absolutely functional, but there are some non- and counter-intuitive labels and paths to get to the info I'm looking for. But using the app for booking is a breeze... that part they have down! LOL. You would hope so, right?

MY RECOMMENDATION: Go for it. I would feel safe with it on my primary phone. Even on a work phone, an IT Dept. scan of the phone wouldn't reveal anything suspicious since Spaces is primarily a site for legal businesses and special interest groups.
