There is a provider I know that has left the business, but her pictures are posted on many escort directories on the internet by the unscrupulous agency she left.  Any advice on how to get these removed?

We have the same problem with Classy Cassy Agency in Pittsburgh. She has a beautiful former escort listed and says she is coming back, keep checking her site to find out when she is going to return.....a very good source told me she is done. I guess her agency looks better with as many good looking photos as possible.....makes it difficult for hobbyists. I don't think there is anything that can be done.

She should contact the webmasters of the offending sites and request her pix be removed. The agency owner who had the pix posted in the first place could make it difficult, tho, if, in fact they are "unscrupulous" and they parted on less than amicable terms.

If the pictures are not face shots, & she uses a stage name, then there is probably nothing that can be done, because there is no proof that the pictures are of her.  On the hand, if she can proof the pictures are indeed of her, she will want to contact the hosting company, not the web designer, because in the eyes of the law, they are ultimately responsible for the content of the website.

Thanks for all your replies. She had originally consented to two web sites more than a year ago. The agency's slimy owner proceeded to use her copyrighted photos for many other escort sites for the purpose of "bait and switch".  There are about 10-12 other sites out there that he submitted her photos and "alias" to.

The point is that she either has to talk them into whatever she wants, or force them.  If she forces them, her legal leverage may be in either or both whatever copyright she has, and/or the limits of her consent.   She needs to decide what it's worth to her, and consult a lawyer.

If she decides that it's not worthwhile, and limits herself to badmouthing them, she wants to be careful where and what information she publishes - that she can prove her allegations, and that she doesn't step on any copyright they may have, or violate anything she's agreed to with them.  Although if she wants a confrontation, that'd be the way to trigger it.
