Another silly newbie question...

Would some kind soul out there please explain the meaning of all the little "feeling" signs when you're posting a message?  Of course, the first two are easy to see, Happy Face and Sad Face.  What about the others?  Please help!

:-x = tightlipped or nothing to say

some of my personal emoticons are:

(_$_) = paid out the ass / cost a shitload of money
