Dallas area has quite a few ladys but the ripoff average looks basicly non-existant. Also has anyone noticed if the ladys in LA last in the market or come and go quickly?
Los Angeles, like Miami, seems to attract a large number of hustlers. Perhaps the fact that both cities are resorts is relevant. There are a large number of tourists, conventioneers, and visiting businessmen in both locations. Those groups of visitors all have two things in common. For one thing, they have large amounts of disposable cash. Second, they're not going to be in town for very long. In my experience, wherever there are visitors with money to burn, you are likely to find hustlers looking to relieve them of it, by whatever means.
I have found many web sites at both locations advertising interest only in vacationing out-of-town people. In NYC they specifically ask for business people. I cannot imagine why a provider in NYC, one of the most target rich environments for this hobby, would exclude such a large market, other than no interest in providing quality service or building any following, ergo, ROB is implied.
I'm told that in Las Vegas, IMHO, the ROB world capital (especially the agencies), LE is so active that providers hesitate to service locals, but it seems to me that providers everywhere have that problem to some degree. Sable, you lived and worked in LV and perhaps yopu can shed some light.
Do you think that the large percentage of the ROB's in LA are Agencies?
I've found that MOST Agencies seem to be ROBS. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico now (for those of you wondering where I went after Las Vegas) and the percentage of ROBS here seems to be HIGH and AGENCY related. My friend and I are among just a handful of "reliable, reviewed and reputable" providers here.
The Agencies here are famous for:
Bait & Switch: Great Stock Photography in the Ads/Websites then some "rolly polly little bat faced girl" shows up.
The gentlemen here are not only surprised that we are ACTUALLY they girls in the pictures, but that we are ATTRACTIVE. --------------------------------------------------------------- Cash & Dash: Most of the girls have "drivers", The girls get the money and of course the escort needs to go out to the car to talk to the driver for some reason and never comes back.
My friend and I would NEVER do that. Not only is it dangerous, but it's just plain dumb. Dont these agencies/girls realize that the word will get around about what they are doing? A lot of these girls take the agency fee, dance around a bit then leave. Others try to "hustle" or "nickle and dime" the guy for more money for more service.

Agencies are so BAD! Independent girls have taken so much time and effort to make a name and good reputation for themselves, the fly by night girls go from city to city and just dont care. I think that gentlemen should stick to reviewed independent providers so they dont get ripped off. I personally appreciate the gentlemen who "took one for the team" when I had no reviews, and that is important, but I think these boards go a long way in reporting the ROBS nationwide so that this kind of nonsense can be stopped (or at least cut down to a minimum) The more reputable providers that come here to Albuquerque the better it is!
I think the reason that agencies have such a deservedly rotten reputation in Southern California may be laid at the feet of law enforcement.
If you as an agency run escorts who may solicit illegal sex acts, then you're liable to be prosecuted under pimping and pandering laws (felonies), which are much more severe than a simple act of solicitation.
On the other hand, if you as an agency, run a ROB or "cash-and-dash" operation, all you get from LE is applause for ripping off those so-called "hobbyists". In their twisted minds, the fact that these ROB operations may well involve coercion by force with drivers, fits under the category "Serves them right." Gee, and LE wonders why they are paid so low and get no respect.
