That's it right there. Jump in head first; sink or swim. Experience the moment, live in the moment and leave it in the moment.  For me it's always on a whim, never any thought put into it. Not knowing what happens next is where all the fun in life comes from.

For those who indulge (by choice), take a moment to read some of the information that I present in this article. There are many reasons for and against indulging in the lifestyle we choose, and I hope to present a few thoughts and facts that will help you to understand yourself and your own desires a bit more. I’m not a professional counselor, nor am I a published writer. I am simply a woman of talent and resource who enjoys exploring the deeper levels of our existence, and writing about it.

This is a short poem I wrote when I started thinking about this subject.

    Fantasy, intrigue and satisfaction

    Oh what a web we weave
    This life of fantasy and intrigue
    Does it bring us satisfaction
    Or is satisfaction what will leave?

    Fantasy sweet, thoughts divine
    Intrigue makes the heart rate clime
    Satisfaction is sure to come
    But will you be satisfied with just one?

Everyone who has chosen to be in this life style has done so for various reasons, and the reasons are as varied as there are options out there for living out our fantasies. We come into this with a purpose, whether it is constructive for our lifestyle or not, seeking satisfaction in one form or another.

Before you read any further, I think its important to state that the definitions provided in this post below are excerpts taken from each page. I have removed descriptions that don’t directly apply to this topic. Notice the progression as each word is defined, and see how the final definition gives both positive and negative outcome results. I was planning on setting it up that way, then when I saw the definitions already did that, I figured I must be on the right track. I think it’s important to acknowledge that there are both positive and negative results in this lifestyle, so to expect that our Intrigue will bring the satisfaction we envisioned in our original fantasy would not be realistic, correct?

FANTASY

Webster:
1. A creation of the imaginative faculty whether expressed or merely conceived
2. The power or process of creating especially unrealistic or improbable mental images in response to psychological need (an object of fantasy)
3. A mental image or a series of mental images (as a daydream) so created (sexual fantasies)

Wikipedia:
Conscious fantasy - A fantasy is a situation imagined by an individual or group that has no basis in reality but expresses certain desires or aims on the part of its creator. Fantasies sometimes involve situations which are impossible (such as the existence of magic powers) or highly unlikely; or they may be more realistic. Fantasies can also be sexual in nature. Another, more basic meaning of fantasy is something which is not real, or cannot be real.

INTRIGUE

1. A complicated or clandestine plot or scheme intended to effect some purpose by secret artifice: conspiracy: stratagem.

SATISFACTION

1. a : The payment through penance of the temporal punishment incurred by a sin

2. a : Fulfillment of a need or want

   c : A source or means of enjoyment : gratification

4. Convinced assurance or certainty proved to the satisfaction of the court)

1. A fulfillment of a need or desire.

Even our fantasies must be tempered with a measure of reality, lest we walk too closely to the edge and realize our fantasy has taken us down a road from which we can’t return to a life of sanity without regrets, after the fantasy has been fulfilled.

have chosen for my hobby dictionary. Mine starts with the word pleasure and I know it when I feel it. It doesn't get any deeper than that for me.

Playful fantasies, including sexual fantasies, can also be part of a healthy life, as long as they end with a return to reality.

It is especially important, of course, to not make life-changing decisions while in the midst of a fantasy.

I just want to have fun while I'm still on this earth.  I like beautiful women; I like intelligent, well-traveled women; and I like to meet interesting women that are more sexually open.  These are women I wouldn't meet in everyday life.  And, yes, I like having sex with these beautiful, cosmopolitan and interesting women.  I don't over-think it.  Many times, I like just being surprised when meeting someone new without fantasizing about what I'm going to do or how I'm going to react.  

I liken the experience to riding a roller coaster.  I like the excitement of not knowing how the experience will turn out, how she will make me feel, or how I will make her feel.  It's a fun ride, without the drama or the hang-ups of a SO relationship or marriage.  When it stops becoming fun, I will stop.

I usualy am thats what always keeps me coming back.

Each experience is unique and new, and it IS the not knowing that intrigues us most. What frustrates me most is that an hour doesn't give enough time for a deeper connection to be made. I'm not talking about getting to know someone's personal life, but rather, I enjoy the pillow talk where we find out about what motivates us, to get the endorphins going, sharing our fantasies or things we want to explore, discussing what pleases us, and then delving as much into all those areas at once, as much as possible lol.

I tend to agree with you..I prefer the multi-hour appointments myself for that very reason.  But, schedules as they are, sometimes an hour is all we have to give.

What you say can be applied to everything in life.  Do you think that what we experience in this world with our senses is "reality?"  Everything which we think is reality is actually a dream fantasy.  Furthermore, all desires are insatiable, not just sex and desires keep us bound to this world.

Its not a fantasy for me.  I go out and have fun sex with different women.  Its not intrigue, either.  I call up or email and make an appointment, just like any other meeting, but more fun.

...for my money you're overthinking it.  I do agree that fantasy, intrigue and satisfaction play into it but it's not really complicated.  There's fantasy involved when I research a girl, see her pix and read her reviews; and intrigue as I go through the booking process.  More fantasy as I wait to for the call and imagine what she'll look like.  Satisfaction, cuming, sure, but also from seeing her and everything in between walking in the door and my giant O.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I just like to fuck. It doesn't get much deeper than that for me either, and when it does it certainly isn't preplanned.

vary greatly for me. I've been treated to, and been a part of, levels of fantasy and fetish that can be Icarus-like and levels of intrigue that are definitely The Big Sleep. Sometimes I just need confirmation that I'm still a member of the human race. These are moods of mine, and I've been fortunate enough to find wonderful ladies to share the wide spectrum of desires and necessities with me.

But remember, there are many out there who get lost in the fantasy to the point of losing reason and practicality, putting themselves at risk one way or another. The whole point of this was to remind them to stay grounded and in reality.

I've been lucky to see a few ladies often enough to go a bit deeper, as you suggest, and it is gratifying.  And I have also made the mistake of losing touch with very painful consequences, so that's not happening again.
