Care about keeping their jobs and fiefdoms, no matter what the facts say.
When they can't find the facts they want, then they pay a PR company to do the research for them. Funny how that research always says what they want it to.
It's like assembling the heads of all the churches in the world and saying: "Good news, we have scientifically proven that there is no God, so now you can all go home and find real jobs!"
The saddest part: It is never going to change; never has, never will.
Really interesting. What's scary is how reluctant people are to look at some different findings that don't support the "older" maybe invalid data and are they really interested in looking into and attempting to correct the issue or just protect their jobs.
http://www.villagevoice.com/2011-03-23/news/women-s-funding-network-sex-trafficking-study-is-junk-science/4/ Here is another bogus article. These so called "researchers" looked at pictures on Craigslist and other sites and guessed which girls were under age. "Hmm...she looks 16 and this one must be about 17." They came up with a stat that 38 out of 100 girls are under 18. This is crapola of the worst kind! Shapiro did not say how they calibrated the pictures and they never followed up to see if the picture was the actual picture of the girl in the add. But no one uses fake pictures on Craigslist or back Page. We know that right?
