There is a certain sweetness I suppose with Valentines Day but I have a tendency to view it as too much of a Hallmark moment.
That doesn't mean that given the right touch that it can't have a genuine sweetness about it, and your touch is the sweetest.

So Jenni if I were to send you a V-Day card that was in a way a parody of the big V day would I get the cold shoulder?
Would I be deprived of kisses and hugs? Would warm wishes no longer come my way? Would I be excommunicated? Worst yet would I have something vital excised without the benefit of anesthesia?

"...sweet extension"!!!...  Jenni at times you are just so cleverly precious in the way you phrase things. I would suspect this phrase was more deliciously clever than innocent. Just a guess
