I have a nine hour layover in Amsterdam next week.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a fellow hobbiest?  From what I've red, the window scene doesn't appeal to me.

amsterdam was nice,the window stroll sucked....girls look kinda trashed...they DO have awesome bakeries with yummi pastries!!

Hit a hash bar or two - they usually know the score on street, and more upscale, activities

I don't see much chance of having a really good time except in the late evening when the clubs get busy. Besides the known problems with the RLD girls, there are plenty of other scams and disappointments to watch out for. I added a link to one of the many guides out there that cover the basics.

I had really great experiences in a couple of the clubs. Societé Anonyme was my favorite.
