I had been walking around for awhile with this "fantasy" in my brain, trying to decide if I should bring it to light or not. I wanted my mother and step-father to meet my favorite lady. 20 years on and off in this sub-culture (more on than off) and this would be a first for me. No other had ever met my family before.

It was something that I really wanted to take place. For reasons that I wont get into here, it was important to me... but there are times when the "want" and the "reality" of things do not balance, and it's best to let sleeping dogs lay.

My step-father does not know about this part of my life, my mother however, knows everything. But what the hell, if nothing else, it should make for some interesting dinner conversation, huh?

After alot of thought about what could go right and what could go wrong, it took place.

The evening pretty much went off without a hitch. Honestly, I was expecting something to go wrong... no particular reason, just nerves I guess. I had this vision of being so close to making the fantasy a reality only to have it all fall apart at the last minute. Of course, one of the big things that saved it I think was that she and I ended up sitting on opposite sides of the table. Didn't want it that way, but just as well, she was beautiful beyond words in my eyes that night, and if we were sitting next to each other, I know I would have done something that I shouldn't have.

My mother had this Saturday night late show ideal in her head I think of what an "escort" would be like even though I tried to beat it into her head that we are just normal people. I'm pretty sure she was half expecting the brainless broad with huge knockers and a 3 year olds giggle to anything anyone says. Since my date for the evening is one of the most intelligent people I've met so far in life, mom did not get what she expected too, which was a good thing.

My step-father is pretty confused about just what the hell our "relationship" is at the moment. Even though I played it down as best I could because he doesn't know about this part of my life, it was still obvious that there is something going on between us, and him knowing she is married with children just adds to the questioning. Now that he has met her I will probably fill him in on all the details as gentally as I can. Didn't want to before the dinner for fear of her being judged by the stigma. He's usually not that kind of guy, but with my luck, it would be the one time in 20 years he was, so I figured best to play it close to the vest on the initial meeting.

All and all, it was great fun and my date and my mother were both asking me the next day when is the next time we are all going to be able to get together for dinner. And for me it was the ability to finally meld some of the people I care about in different parts of my life into one... something that very rarely happens. It doesn't get much better then that.

to be seen for who you are in a safe walled room by 1 person is one thing. But.. to be seen as you really are.. OUT there in the universe.. opening your arms and saying YES this IS ME.. is another thing altogether and is not easily done.  BUT.. the rewards I think to the risk and some of the potential consequences.. are priceless. To be witnessed and loved in truth.. is the deep stuff that feeds you forever.. vs the safe nice nice pretend face we so often defer to and end up starving from. And when the WORLD becomes your playground.. possibilities are ENDLESS!  MMMM HMMMM. :)

Don't you think they share information about you? I can't imagine your mother wouldn't.

Your mom is pretty cool...and so is your favorite lady.

Lets see, you are screwing a whore, she's married with kids, your mother knows about it, and you're all sitting around the dinner table like this is normal.  Now I know all of our relationships in this hobby are a little askew but this one ranks up there.

I'm not being judgemental (yes I am, I guess) but just giving my reaction to this, and your need to share it.

. . . I got to the "married with chidlren" part. It did seem screwed up.

Screwed up ia a relative term.

We were sitting around the dinner table as real people being able to accept each other without the pre-judgement, nothing more.

Perhaps it isn't what your idea of a night with an escort should be, and that's cool.... we're all here for our own reasons.

My "need" to post this was partly because to me it was something wonderful, and partly because I knew it would invoke certain reactions like yours. Who's more right or wrong, you for keeping your presence here in the closet from those in your life (I'm assuming that from your post, if I'm am wrong about it, I apologize), or me for needing to have those in my life know just who I am and who (pun intended) I do? I'm afraid nobody will ever be able to say one way or the other, as open-mindedness is not a prerequisite for being here on either side of the fence.

On a last note, it would seem there is a problem witht he "married" part. Sorry if that stuck a bad spot, but most of the women I've met here are married, dating, or in some type of commited relationship, be it with a man or another woman.

as I haven't spoken to my mother in a day or so, but he didn't know at the time. She and I discussed it beforehand and decided it would be better to not say anything until after to keep the stigma judgement to a minimum.

that people can meet and enjoy each other no matter how unconventional society says the relationship is and not care as long as it is working for them?

I'd like to think that it is possible and this post suggest that it is true.

Why does anyone have a problem with that?

Many providers I know have kids and a know of a few who are married with kids.  It's a job, remember?

Other then what I said in my initial post I will not elaborate on who she is. If she wishes to post here and say who she is or not, that is her choice, I will not make that choice for her.
