He was King of daytime talk shows for a good run of 5 to 6 years!  

Jerry Springer was a Cincinnati city councilman in 1974.  A political gossip columnist wrote a blind item about a politician involved in a prostitution investigation.  Springer resigned the day after the article was published.

 
However, Springer made a remarkable comeback the very next year.  In 1975 Jerry was elected to the city council once again.  And in 1977 he was chosen to be mayor of Cincinnati for one year.  He was not "Kicked out of being mayor of Cincinnati in 1978 after paying hooker with a check."

 
No surprise Lester got the FACTS completely wrong.  That's what he and his ilk usually did on the board that is no more....when they weren't repeating false internet rumors.
