TER General Board
Although it is nice to get one... A tip is never expected. EOM
Ladys do you expect a tip or is that already factored into your rate. Guys if you tip what percentage do tip?
great response to what has to be the most overasked question!
I don't tip, but as I have mentioned before, I take a gift, usually a candle set.
Search the topic of tips and you should find other discussions on this subject.

People, STOP asking the SAME OLD questions time, and time, and time again. This has been beaten to death! BORING!

Notice, there is a Self-Help center Icon at the top of this page! Also there is a Newbie board for the inexperienced, or the hopelessly stupid. Lastly there is a search feature on every board to find out about tired old topics. These old tired asked EVERY Week topics/questions include, but are not limited to:

You can ask anything you'd like but try using the search function first.
there is a constructive way to make your point, and a jerkish way. Why must you always choose the latter?
If you find a topic boring, then skip over it.
I see nothing wrong with the newer folks asking a question, whether it's been asked before or not. Yes, they can search for previous threads, but this IS a discussion board, and perhaps the people reading it now didn't read it before, and may have something constructive to say. I'm sure that questions have been asked numerous times, and gotten completely different points of view each time. If you don't like the question, move on to the next question. It's that simple.
By the same logic, if you find a comment "jerkish" just skip over it. I think it's pretty jerky of you to attack someone for their response. Let me add fuel to the fire: whether you liked his demeanor or not, he had a valid point - people who are too inconsiderate of others' time to do a modicum of research on their own first, don't merit a great deal of gentility.
I couldn't agree with you more. When I was new here, I took it upon myself to do some research instead of asking same questions that have been asked a 1000 times. If people would read the newbie forum, the vast majority of these questions are answered for them.
no angry red face, no multiple exclamation points in the title, etc. pretty calm overall.
I'm not just chillin, I'm 'gellin (got my dr scholls inserts on)
um... too many 'ludes might affect your performance, dude... >: >
camaraderie as much as a need for the answer. Hobbying is a very unique experience with few to talk to about it, so sometimes it can be difficult to have the patience to do some initial research.
imho
I never ask or expect it but always appreciate it.
I'm quite sure you know all the answers to all of the questions . Some of us are mere mortals and perhaps perfer to have an interaction with others like us on a topic rather than search TER.
I personally like when questions are asked that have been asked before . It's like a refresher course .I'm sure you have forgotten more than i currently know.Although a course of personal interactions might not be a bad idea for you asked.
Sometimes a client leaves a tip, it is always appreciated but never required .Kendall
I'm just back from vacation and haven't posted there today but please check out the Newbie Board. Everybody is friendly and we are always looking for a new face. I'm a newbie of sorts and often my posts are not up to snuff.
As for a good tip, please see me again and put a smile on my face.

I use the same thinking as when I get a haircut: If the owner of the shop cuts my hair; I don't tip, if an employee does the work; I do.
When I do tip, I base it on the service and normally tip 20 per cent on an hour session, if that service was exemplary. As the length of the session increases (ergo the cost), that percentage slides downward and settles at about $100 for an overnight.

Ooops... I didn't research somebody may have already posted that statement.
It's not only funny but a pro-animal choice. No, not the hot dog between your legs.
