Although I tend to prefer it longer...

it really depends on the woman and what she does with it whether short looks good or not.

I tend to like longer, because I am a sensualist, and long hair is a tactile turn on, as well as a visual one, especially if the lady has hair that lends itself towards being long.  However, not all women have hair that lends itself to being long, and I have seen some women do great things with shorter hair.  A woman with shorter hair can wear it very femininely and look flattering, but when it comes down to it, if I had to choose one over the other, I would go long every time.

Also, what is "long"?  To me, long is shoulders or lower.  The woman doesn't need to have it all the way down her back for it to be sexy long for me (although that is great, too)...I just like to wrestle with the stuff when we make love.

This is actually a topic that I could really go on about, which I know surprises you people who slog through my lengthy posts :P  Really, though, it is kind of sad to me that many women alter one of their most visually and tactilly beautiful features after they "settle down".  It is like they are saying "I don't need to look 'alluring' any more, and I don't have time to take care of it."  If there is anything I dislike more than the "matron" cut (mens cut length, clipped short in the back and gradually getting fuller rising up the head) for women's hair, I can't think of it.  It is like wearing granny panties.  Damn, if I had something as beautiful and sexy as nice long hair, I would consider it a blessing...hair doesn't wrinkle with age.  I have seen some older women with longer hair that they obviously take time to brush out, and it makes them look so much more feminine and attractive than walking around looking like a guy with breasts.  My hair is going up top, but I keep it longer in the back, and it requires a bit of work every now and then, but I love the feel of it, so it is worth it to me.

Ladies, if you have "nice" hair, wear it proudly, and don't cut it short when you go "off the market".  It is a thing of beauty for all to look at, like a great smile, or pretty eyes, or a nice figure.  Isn't that worth some effort?  It is like seeing a peacock without his plumes.  Men used to look good in olden times with longer hair, but in our corporate world, we can no longer wear it and not be "classified".  Women shouldn't throw away one of their natural gifts of beauty just because our socty is pressed for time.  Always make time for the things that make you stand out in this world.

Do men Really Like Long hair...?
Im thinking of getting mine Long shagged & Layered again or  Long Soft medium Curls again..

What's your hair designer say?  What compliments your physical assests?  What's the HOT look on U?  U live with your hair more than any guy, so make it look like the way you like it and fits your physical assests and personality.

In some of of your performances, if your hair is long, please keep it out of blocking vision! Good to see your eyes,as well as other activities.

Really, it depends on the person.  I have little personal preference although I find a crew cut on a lady offputting.  But then, thinking about it I suppose my preference does tend toward long hair. I find myself most curious when I see long hair on the woman in the car in front of me at a stoplight.

What really would turn me on: Ed McMahon appearing at my door with an envelope.

I find longer hair extremely sexy. I've never been fond of short hair, thus, never had a girlfriend with short hair (it matters that much to me). Anything about mid-shoulder blades or longer is attractive to me.

It doesn't matter so much the style... both curly and straight are sexy in their own ways.

I'm probably in the minority but I actually prefer shorter hair.  Not crew cut though, just tastefully short.  Not that I mind long hair or curly, just that I think short hair is attractive.

crew cuts, butch-dyke cuts, you name it, anything short ... heck, i don't even mind bald chicks!

[dead serious]

I prefer someting in the middle like Jennifer Aniston or Meg Ryan.

At least covering the neck, I guess upper/mid shoulder length would be ideal. It can be too long, like middle of the back.

The face, the body and the smile along with the service make the difference, not the hair.  But bald girls call Singleton, just not my style.  Singleton I but you can have all of the bald providers.

too often you see women who are using their mid-length to long hair to "hide" or cosmetically conceal various (perceived) flaws with their face/head/skull (women know what i'm talking about) ... whether it's bangs in their face cuz of bad skin, covering up big ears, etc ... the ultimate pathology is the shy reclusive "girl interrupted" you see in an insane asylum who looks like 'Cousin It'

long hair hides and masks the exquisite shape of the face (and head/skull) ... that's why, to me, as extreme as it may seem, bald chicks can be quite erotic!  (especially in porn)

in real life, i prefer the shortest possible hair that is still flattering for EVERY girl (for whom i have the hots for) ... my ATF and i have this running gag which is her falling asleep and me butchering her hair with a pair of scissors!

*

now if the women are flat-chested and brunettes on top of having short hair then ... LOOK OUT!    [wedding bells]

;-)

Long hair is best USUALLY, although extremely petite or skinny types can get away with shorter hairdos.

But on the whole, I kind of like 'em Lara Croft long where they just touch the dimples on your backside in a perfect world.  If you've got hair that doesn't at least touch your shoulders, you are normally fighting an uphill battle with me.

I can't like just one style.  Each lady has her own look, and the look is a sum of the parts.  That said, I have met many ladies who should change the length and style of their hair because I think they could be more attractive.

The one feature I really do like is a thick head of hair, regardless of length.  And of course her hair must be clean, and it's always nice if it smells good.

I agree with fortitude.  It is the sum of the parts and the parts need to compliment each other.  Another thing I like doing is running my fingers through soft, silky hair.  Sometimes hairspray gets in the way of that.  If I had to choose, smooth long hair would get my vote.

Variety in looks is the spice of life...same goes for hair length
and style...

...not too fond of short-short look but if the rest of the gal's package is right...who am I to complain.

Cheers!

I prefer long hair. My ATF uses a hair-clip as an accessory that goes on and off frequently  so that her hair does not obscure the action at the appropriate times!

Mr. Self-destruct,

I agree that long hair is feminine, if it's clean and thick. However, women in the corporate arena are no different than men. Women with a more professional haircut (or at least worn tightly back or up) are considered more professional. Sad but true. On the other hand, men that are going bald should just shave their heads. I think most women would agree with that. When men go bald on the top of their heads, it's very unattractive to see them with long hair in the back or those that attempt to comb it over on one side. You guys aren't fooling anyone. Just go bald. I think that's sexy, especially if the head is tanned and a little shiny -- E.T. phone home (or better yet -- me). Yes, I like long hair on men too but not if it's very thin and has no style or shape, although the ponytail thing is pretty sexy on some men. Like you said about females, it's the same for men. Some look good with short hair, others with long. Most that are going bald -- shave it baby!

Hugs,
Ciara

I am stuggling mightily to not focus on one sentence that you used:  "You guys aren't fooling anyone".  For the most part, your post was fine, although I don't agree with you on being bald.

You could not understand how it feels to have to face losing your hair, as you will never experience it, just as a man could not truly understand having a masectomy.  Some men shave when they are 15...some men agonize over losing their hair.  If they feel comfortable with what they do, and the woman who is with them is as well, then TFB for the rest of the world.  I thankfully an not that far gone on top yet, but I will not shave it all off until and unless I am damn good and ready to.  There are men will bald crowns who have hair around the side who still look fine...Terry O'Quinn the actor, for one, or Robert Duvall, or Anthony Hopkins.

As with short haired women, it all depends on the person.  I am not attempting to "fool anyone".  I think I look fine just as God made me, and, thankfully, I have known a decent amount of women who have agreed with me (although many haven't).  I consider shaving my head prematurely to be as unnatural as enhanced breasts.  If a man carries himself well, and knows he is sexy inside, it will go a lot farther towards making him sexy than what his hair looks like...just like with a woman.

Oh and by the way, I have seen women in the corporate world in pretty high up positions with hair at least to their shoulders (which, in my post, I called long).  I agree that if she had it to her butt, she might be "classified" for it.  However, the one big difference is that even if a woman had to "put it up" (which, again, I have seen some women executives not do...and with men, it applies for ALL corporate employees...unless you work in the postal room), she can take it down again at her leisure.  Ever see a male executive walking around with his hair in a bun?

Okay! Okay! You obviously misunderstood my post. It was meant to say that going bald can actually be pretty sexy. You obviously are feeling insecure if you think I was telling you "you're not fooling anyone." I apologize for that statement. It really was not meant to be rude. It was merely that some men try so hard not to age (like us women). Actually, I have seen men with buns in their hair on the job. In fact, one works for the post office near my house. I also was in the corporate world for a long time, and what I meant by long hair was hair down to the middle of one's back. I also meant that I think it is unfair that women are often overlooked for important, high-caliber positions for jobs because of hair length. It actually happened to me. And yes, I also understand what it's like to go bald because I was ill a few years back and lost almost all of my hair. And believe me, for a woman it's just as bad if not worse be be a bald-headed woman. There's no acceptance for that unless you look hot as one or star on a Star Trek adventure. Like I always say, "Until you walk in someone else's shoes, don't be too quick to judge."  I'm sure you're very sexy, but if you're really secure about your looks, then don't be bothered by some honest critiquing by others in a post.

Hugs & kisses,
Ciara

I probably did misunderstand your post, but I feel that the way it was worded, it was fairly easy for me to do so.  I didn't think you were talking about "me" fooling someone...but the implcation that men in general do that for that purpose I would think would have to be a good amount of conjecture on your part.

Actually, I am not insecure about my looks at all.  As Popeye (who was bald) said, "I yam what I yam".  I just know that I prefer some hair than bald, and that when someone says that bald is better, I mention that is subjective.

I am sorry to hear about your hair loss scenario, but, judging by your pictures, your hair grew back just fine (unless...).  I know some women lose their hair even on a permanent basis, but  is seldom that they do so as part of their natural aging process...unike men.  I am also sorry to hear about your employment experience.  Discrimination is just wrong, and you were discriminated against, seemingly. I hope that it was a good thing for you to have not gone further with that company and get caught up in that whole world, and that your beauty is seen now as the asset that it obviously is, judging by your pictures.

I am not very sexy at all to many, but thankfully, a few find me to be fine.  Honesty makes it easy for me to be secure with my looks, and when you have seen a picture of me, then you can critique.  Until then, you are not critiquing my looks, you are generalizing balding men.

Now that I said all of that, you have a very nice outlook towards balding men, and I will keep that in mind for my distant future. :)

Peace, sweetie.

Mr. Self Destruct, you may be balding but probably still great looking. I like older, more mature men anyway. Thanks for the compliments, sweetie. I hope you realize that I was not trying to put any man down but build him up. Actually, I have a pretty crazy sense of humor (sort of like a man's sense of humor), so don't take the "who are you fooling" too personally. I thought of it in a humorous way and certainly didn't mean to offend anyone. Look me up if you'd like to meet someone who enjoys a mature man. I love it!

Hugs,
Ciara

It's not so much the length but the density of the hair. There are many attractive styles both long and short but blessed is the woman where you can get lost in the thick volumes of her locks.

For me at least, it really depends on how well the hair style fits the woman in question, both physically and how she carries herself. If I have to express a preference, I'd say medium length, with loose curls -- fun to run my fingers through. :)

--b.

It used to be such a dark red, thick and long for years. Getting sick in '93 really affected it - it zapped the color right out and my hair broke like spaghetti noodles. It took a long while for it to look healthy again, and never did get it's thickness back.
Still, I kept it long until 11/01 when I went to visit family out of state for Thanksgiving. I was nagged and bugged for an entire week to cut it - as it's 'time' for shorter hair! I was so sick of the nagging, that I called my hairdresser from the SD airport and asked her to take me right then, before even going home! Cut it off!
My FB likes it, but prefers it long as I was his Dr. Crusher fantasy..
So, now I've agreed to compromise and grow it at least shoulder length and it's getting there.
I have to say that long is not necessarily better, as I would agree that having it long really 'pulled my face down' and cutting it really uplifted my appearance.
And as far as care goes, I spend more time on it now that it's SHORTER than when it was long, but still quick and easy.
No matter what you have to go with what looks good on that person.
