yellow! i'm just curious what everyone's preferred method is for contacting providers. i hate talking on the phone because i've got a stutter (it's worse on the phone) so 90% of the time i go with providers that are cool with texting/email. i've literally had girls hang up on me before when i've blocked on a couple words. it's a pretty shitty feeling, but i usually think of it as their loss considering i'm pretty damn good looking & in good shape (not to brag) and respectful, of course, so i'm more than happy to spend my money on one of the many other different & beautiful LA ladies instead. i do understand that a phone call is obviously better for getting a feel for what the other person is like and if you can connect with them at all but from i've read and experienced, most providers prefer to keep the phone convo real brief anyway.
so, how about everyone else? input from providers is appreciated too
I don't post my phone number online so I require gents to email me.
It is more convenient for me to have email versus a phone# because I might not always be able to pick-up the phone but I can always return an email in a timely fashion.
I do like to have a short phone conversation before meeting if I am meeting a person for the first time

However, after you have had all of the questions regarding their demeanor and psychological stability answered would you be more inclined to received text from known clients who have seen you in the past? Also I would be asking because it would be convenient for them to respond to you on the fly. However, I could see you doing this considering that technology has advanced to the point to where most of your clients would have smart phones or portable internet access.
In my case, a phone call will be required in order to clarify questions and go over all the pertinent details, I understand you could be nervous but that's not a problem; as long as you are consistent, respectful and sane on the phone we can certainly deal with that!

I prefer email first to give her all the necessary information she needs for screening purposes. My emails are such that they get a good feel from them what I am like, along with my reviews here.
Since I am often in NYC, if it is a two-call type system, I prefer that via text since it can be a real pain to try and find a quiet part of the street to have a call telling me what exact address/room number to go to.
There is no need for me to talk via phone ahead of time. I am more than happy to do so, should she ask, but I like hearing her voice the same time I first see her when the door opens..
though I'll also PM her here or on P411 or D-C. After that it's text or phone. But I'll do whatever her protocol is. Some prefer texting from the get-go. I don't really care. Each gal evolves a system she's comfortable with and they all seem to work fine.
Since I plan things well in advance due to scheduling, email then text and finally the call is best for me.
With a couple of emails, we can get to know a little bit about each other before the big show.
Text for the final contact information, because I might happen to be in front of a customer and I'd hate to have a conversation with a civvie in front of me, or worse, appear to be rude to someone over the phone.

I used a Blackberry, so texting on keys half the size of grains of rice isn't easy, nor is seeing the letters on them. The last provider I was seeing never called or emailed. It was text only. She had an app for texting what she spoke, so it was impossible for me to keep up with her in a text exchange.
I prefer an email for the first contacts. I really would rather talk on the phone after that, if at all possible, for anything after that. Too much can get lost in communication when voice inflections, typo's, grammar problems and other factors come into play. For getting the room # before heading up, a text or phone call is fine.
Email only. You can learn just as much if not more intimately about a person via email over any other form of communication these days. I find it allows barriers to drop immediately between both parties. Some masks may disappear all together. Even verbal communication is hindered typically or can give an 'altered' perception. However, it does give 'peace of mind' to some. Texting is out in any way shape or form IMO. I don't text in my personal life and certainly wouldn't in this life.
So for me after trial and error, email is the only option. I don't need to hear a gentleman's voice until his face is right in front of me personally. If he has the 'need' to hear mine, then he has to move on. Some things need to be left for the first encounter.
Btw, stuttering is an adorable thing, don't ever let it hinder you in any way, shape or form.
I do have to add...sorry....but 'writing' has been a form of communication for a gazillion years and is something I hold very dear to me just as any natural 'art' form. Without the form of written communication, I personally would be a lost soul. And I have to believe there are countless many out there who understand that statement and thensome and what 'writing' does for them on any level. It is one of the most personal, intimate things we can share with one another as it comes 'unscripted' most times from our minds and sometimes our hearts......of course, other than the other acts of 'unscripted intimacy' being sought here.

I had a stuttering or stammering (not sure which) problem when I was a kid. I mostly grew out of it but I sometimes have problems with my Rs, more so when starting a sentence with the R word. Some people can be rather insensitive about speech issues but it's their loss. If the lady is a bitch about it move on.
