And I never thought of that idea, but it makes perfect sense.

When my wife may discover missing funds.  Anyone else nervous this time of year?

Lose the wife.

See I told you you should have gotten a prenup. ;)

Where were you 17 years ago?  :P

That is the excuse I will use if caught.  Of course the result is the pretty much the same where hobbying is done for (unless the big D occurs) and I'll prolly be forced to go to counseling for gambling.  That would suck.

Problem solved!

LOL!

Geez, how much money is missing from the hobbying? You'd have to have lost a huge percentage of your income to be considered a "problem gambler." But if its just extra spending money here and there, that's not something you'd have to go to counseling for.

I just started hobbying 6 months ago and I kind of hit it full speed.  I'm just beginning to slow down.  I'm down about 20K.  Since I only make 40K a year we've had to eat a lot more Mac n cheese this year so I'm kind of concerned..

Actually I make considerably more than that so she might not notice.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Wouldn't that suck having to go to a 12 step program for something you don't even do?  And quit the hobby at the same time?  Maybe I'd just say 'fuck it' hon, let's get some lawyers and end this shit. ;)

it certainly adds up but would take a forensic audit to establish "missing" money...  and no way to prove I spent it WHERE?   A note though, soon after I started hobbying, I doubled my pocket cash each pay period.  If I have other expenses I might miss a date because the pocket cash was not left over...

I use companion taxes baby.....

No, not at all. My accountants work for me and no one else.
