When any new Basic (non-VIP) account is created, there is no M / F , Provider / Client , Tastes Great / Less Filling ... option. All accounts are created equal. (The same is true for new VIP accounts. No M / F , no P / C , no TG / LF ...).

When you click on a poster's name (with the little black upside down triangle next to it), you get a drop down menu. At the top it will say "Send Mail" which refers to TER PM (Private Mail). At the bottom it will say "See my Posts." If there is no other option there (a) no "## Reviews" or (b) "See My TER Reviews"), it means:
(a) That user has no reviews that have been approved and posted - it could be a client with no reviews or a Provider
(b) That user has not linked their handle (username) to a Profile - it could be a client or a Provider who has not yet linked to her Profile.

Once a user has one or more reviews posted, you will see "## Reviews" in the drop down and you will that that user is a client. Once a Provider has linked her handle to a Profile, you will see "See My TER Reviews" and know that that user is a Provider.

A Profile is created by the FIRST approved REVIEWER. A Profile is NOT created by the Provider. If there are no reviews, there is no Profile created, and that Provider cannot link to a non-existent Profile. There will never be a "See My TER Reviews" link in the drop down (and no FREE limited VIP).

The only other way to be identified as client or Provider is by reputation in posts to the boards. E.g., a Provider can still post photos to "Photo Only" and the "Buzz Boards" which should clearly ID her as a Provider (even with no reviews yet). A client can post a mini-review to their local board or make obvious posts about "I saw So-and-So and she didn't ask for a deposit." (There have been several female clients over the years, so some will have "## Reviews" in their drop down and post about their experiences as clients.

There are a few other special cases. Some Providers have linked their Profiles to their username (handle) so they have "See My TER Reviews" in their drop down menu. Some (usually bi or lez) Providers have posted that they have been paying clients of Providers that they found attractive and have submitted reviews. I have never seen a username drop down menu with "Send Mail" "See My Posts" and BOTH "## Reviews" and "See My TER Reviews."
Hi, I'm new to TER. And I am having a hard time understanding how this site functions or works. I am a provider and registered as a provider but cannot find how to get someone to leave a review as my information is showing in a reviewer?

Until someone writes a review you will just have an account. Once a review is written you will then have a provider profile that you can request TER link to your account.
While not a very active board the Newbie board is really where you should be asking questions and researching for now. With that information you'll have a much better idea on how to interact with others on these boards, how to post ads and ultimately how to get someone to write a review for you.
