So I was grooming myself tonight in the land down under, and had the most minor mishap--the scissors momentarily pinched some skin on my shaft near the base of the penis. I didn't cut myself, per se, but if you can envision it, I just got a little too close to the skin, and for a nanosecond, the skin got caught in the scissors. I was hoping to see a provider tomorrow--hence the grooming--and so I yelled out, "FUCK!!!". Not because it hurt--it didn't hurt at all--but because I thought I might have to put off my session for a few days. So I stared and stared and stared at the spot...for about 15 seconds...and no blood. I figured I lucked out. But about 3 seconds later, the tiniest specks of blood appeared. Picture if you are shaving your face, and you got a little bit too close, and 20 seconds later a hint of blood appears. Well, that's what it looked like.
So, my question is, would this kind of ever-so-superficial skin damage cause you to put off a session a few days, just to be safe? Or would you consider the damage to be so superficial that you'd go get your BBBJ without delay?
I appreciate your feedback.

No blood or open sores down hither, Joe - ever!
I understand the conflicted feelings, but, yes, if you've really broken the skin you need to postpone. Imagine the situation. You've scheduled a session despite a scabby-looking thing down under. You're at the incall, have set down the envelope, taken off your clothes and are into the LFK, DFK, etc. She gets ready for her best BBBJ and, holy shit!, she spots your crusty little tell-tale. "What's this?" she says, "You've got a cut. No can do." And guess what, she's completely within her right of self-protection. If she chooses to end the session there (which she should) it's on you.
Believe me, I understand how much you wanted to see her. But it's your bad.
PS: When initially getting ready to shave down I used scissors to hack away the heavier undergrowth. But if you're serious about this you should stay well groomed to the point where you don't need to use scissors. Every few days I shave down the stubble before it gets too long, whether I'm about to see someone or not. I use a semi dull blade set and hardly press at all. Works for me. I'll get an occasional micro cut or chafe but I always do it about 6 hours in advance and all is nice and smooth by session time. If I got more of a cut I'd postpone.

I’ve done similar and I know how shitty it is. It happened to me the day I was seeing a provider. It was a late evening time slot. I was just giving myself a tiny trim, when I ever so slightly nicked the side of my sackaroo. I didn’t feel it at all. I only found it when I saw a small spot of blood on my finger that had grazed the spot.
I freaked out and then tried to think about what I could do. I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve always been under the impression that certain area of the body heal faster. This could be total crap, but I heard it a long time ago, and it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that different areas of the body will clot and stop bleeding, scab or not scab, etc. at different rates. Take the inside of your mouth, for example. Cuts in the mouth seem to stop bleeding and heal far faster than other areas. I think this applies to the genitals, too.
With my weird philosophy intact, I wiped away the tiny spot of blood on my sack and waited. No more blood, but, like you describe, a close inspection would reveal some kind of mishap. I prepared for pain and used a styptic pencil right on the spot. Stung like a bastard. After five minutes no blood and virtually nothing to see.
Sorry for rambling, but it all boils down to try a styptic pencil. It will speed up the process. I do, however, agree that if there is a serious doubt times comes down to “launch or abort,” you should probably postpone. Good luck, man.
Styptic pencils are good and I've got a version that's like a small, roll-on deodorent dispenser that applies an alum-based solution. But keep in mind all that does is speed the clotting process. I do not believe it speeds the healing process much, and until the skin is healed you are still at risk.
I too have experienced this, but in my case I almost sliced open my "nut" wall. I had to cancel my appointment.
sometimes, there are micro-cuts which you can't see. Shave 2-3 days beforehand so everything can heal up - for your safety and the lady's. ![]()
Happened to me before and I did postpone. Grooming 2 days prior is always a good idea, and I would invest in a electric Mangroomer, several well known brands on the market. Much easier and safer than scissors (I always nicked myself), and much easier to get a clean shave for boys.
You may want to try using clippers... there are many in your local drug store for under 15 bucks and they work great. I stay shaved and have for 20 years, so I do it every day or so without a gaurd and because I've done it a million times it only takes a minute. The trick to it is to do it very consistantly, which makes it easy as what you miss yesterday, you clip today. If you go this route, you may want to use a guard with the closest setting for a while until you get comfortable using them, this will ensure you don't clip your skin because the guard will make that impossible to happen.

looks amiss. Reschedule, please.

The "Boner Test". Okay, so I made up the name. But what I'm trying to say is that I think I should get a boner to inspect for any skin damage, as opposed to just inspecting it in its flaccid state. Because I'm definitely a "grower", and a mark that's nearly invisible when flaccid might be much more obvious on a full boner.
But it's too early to get a boner. I just woke up and haven't even had any donuts yet.
By the way, just for the record. I don't even have an appointment with the provider. It's just that I know she'll be available today, and I really wanted to call her up for a session. So in other words, it's not something I'd even have to cancel.

I have been trimming/shaving for the last 20-odd years, and it never fails, every time I do, I either nick or scrape myself. I was told by my doctor to use hydrogen-peroxide to speed the healing process, and it works great for me.
Here is how I do it for nicks:
Dry the area, make sure its dry and not damp.
Soak a cotton ball with Hydrogen-Peroxide 3%, but if can find the 6% it works better.
Dab the wound several times with the soaked cotton ball, do not rub.
Let the area air dry, and keep it dry.
Within a day or two it will be completely healed, depending on how large the wound is.
I have been doing this for years, and usually it will heal and close within a day.
I will trim/shave a least 2-days before an appointment for that reason.
Hope this will help, Good luck.
