Uggg, I hate it when men hangle me for a substantial discount..

that is a pet peeve!!!

I think my favorite ones are:

1. I am a fellow tattoos hobbyist. Can I get a discount??
2. I am a biker but I don't want to pay for services...can we hang out??
3. After giving my rates, the guy writes back again and asks for another discount.

HOW TACKY!!!!! I can't even believe it..and what kills me is that my rates are not that high and I like almost everything...
geeze I am just hot...

now, thats tacky......especially when, a discount is
requested after only 1 session & promises of regular
returns too........discounts are for those who earn it.!
Through sincere appreciation & return time spent, the
discount perk is always considered!

Ah yes, another satisfied customer from the "skin deep" catagory. Pleaaaaaase, gimme a fuckin' break, will ya? Beauty isn't just who you are on the outside. I got a tatoo just last week, my first actually. But i didn't walk into the place as Dr. Jeckell and out as Mr. Hyde. I was the same person after as i was before, be it for good, or bad. Class isn't something you put on like a Armani suit or get into like a BMW, it's something you just have. I've met people have money coming out there rear end, but that didn't make anything more then rick idiots, and i've met some that truely were "class acts". I've also known some that looked like hell but turned out to be real stand up people and great friends. We all have passions in our lives, and if this ladys happens to be ink, that gives the rest of us no reason to pre-judge her and treat her like shit, which is the impression i get from your post. That's it's ok to do so because she enjoys something that you either no nothing about or don't care for. DO you flame the BBW's because of there proportions too? I've lived on both sides of this line and what i learned was that is good and bad on each. I also learned that the only people anyone needs to worry about are the ones that are to lazy or afraid to take a good hard look at what lies beneath. As far as the discounts go, how would you like it if one day your boss walked in and said that he wanted you to work for 70% of your salary that day. Oh, by the way, you still had to do 100% of your job. If a lady decides that she wants to run a special, more power to her. I'm the first in line for good deal. But if not, then what is there to bicker about? The price is the price, and if it's out of range, she will find out soon enough when her clientel drops off. There's no need to haggle, just keep on moving down the road until you find someone in your range, there is enough variety out there that i would think it wouldn't take to long.
I apologize in advance to all the people this post will offend, but to be honest, if it offends you, perhaps you need to sit back for a moment and ask yourself "What if it was me that liked those things?" "How would i feel?"

"well, when ya wanna look like a biker chick, you'll probably get treated like one!"

Is this the voice of total ignorance or do you actually have any idea about bikers and biker chicks?  Because I do and I'm with Shaye.  I suspect you're are just being bigoted.

No matter what her "look" is, she is still an individual providing something of value.  And her "biker chick" look doesn't lessen her value as a woman, a provider or as a  human being.  Although, your reply to her reflects the sad state your own humanity has degenerated into.

The same respect that you expect when being with a woman.  It doesn't matter whether she has tattoos or not, short or tall, what body shape, etc., a gentlemen should always treat a woman with respect.  If she doesn't catch you eye, that's okay. But that's no reason to disrespect her.

How does, as you call it, "a biker chick" deserve any less respect than any other woman??  It's easy from our side of the fence to throw stones at the ladies, especially when you have probably never met or plan on meeting this woman.  As the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.  She has a fantastic personality, great sense of humor, loves what she does(and it shows), and you leave knowing that you just had a very memorable experience with a wonderful woman.  Take a couple of minutes and read her reviews; all of the very positive.

Similiar to a post that I wrote below, we may not all fit someone's ideal of "norm", but I will be damned, if we shall be treated anything less than human.

Tatoo Girl-You are a very beautiful lady, inside and out :) If you ever come to Boston, I would be honored to meet you :)

Sincerely,

Mel :)

How true.

This is my favorite definition of a gentleman.  I don't know who originally created it.

"The true gentleman is the man who's conduct proceedes from good will and an acute sense of propriety, who's self-control is equal to all emergencies, who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity, who is himself humbled if necessity compel him to humble another, who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possesions or achievements, who speaks with frankness, but always with sincerity and sympathy, who's deed follows his word, who appears well in any company; a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe. "

Don't take it personally.   We all negotiate.  Has anybody here not negotiated a job offer, a contractor working on your home, a day care provider?  People with a lot or vey little money and even big businesses are always negotiating.  It is what it is, don't take it personally....

That was written by a gentleman named John Walter Wayland and is required to be memorized by every pledge of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity before initiation. Took me about a week to get it down. Twenty years later it's still with me and I try to live my life according to John's words...although not always successfully. Still a pretty good guideline to live life by.

I swear, no matter what the subject, someone on this board will step-up and confirm our worst fears about the screwed-up values of our society.

For example, we'll assign full-time people to protect the "rights" of cock roaches on a movie set (I'm not making this up), but we'll think nothing of being dismissive, rude or insulting to a fellow human being- and all on the basis of a picture, no less!

What kind of people could have so little regard for human dignity and respect for the individual?  Well, in this case, Exhibit "A" is Anicon, but regretably, I'm sure he's not alone out there.

Respect issues aside, if we've learned one thing on TER it's that for anything that is a turn-off for someone, somewhere else another person is paying extra to get more of the same thing.  I suggest Anicon consider that before assuming the rest of the world sees things the way he does.

Sorry all, but I agree with this guy.  I've found that people's outside appearance often shows your class.  Sure, one can look like trash and have a ton of class, but isn't that the exception?

I couldn't disagree more with your statement clamlick.  A persons outside appearance can be deceptive.

I think of class more in relation to behavior not dress.

My original posting was about men who want a huge discount for various reasons. Clamlick, you are so wrong. I am supposed to give a discount because of my tattoos??? First off, tattooing is MY HOBBY.
If I was all dressed up, you wouldn't even notice them.
Second off, tattoos are not cheap!!! Either are my Harley's.
There is no reason to treat people different because of their looks.
If you went by looks you are a loser. I base people on HOW THEY ACT...not how they look.

Why do people think "bikers" are a serial breed??
Not only, do I NOT SMOKE, DRINK OR DO DRUGS. I donate a lot of my money to all different types of organizations. I have set up many different retirement packages for myself. Also, I am debt free, save almost most of my money.
I am a business woman!!! Not some street/biker/tattoo whore!!
You sir, should look into the mirror..I for one hope nothing ever happens to you..say..an accident and then see who your real friends are....mine love me for who I am not for what I look like~

Next time you are in NYC, go down to Red Rock West ( http://www.nycbp.com/bartenders/bar9/ ) .  The average biker at this bar is more respectful than the average yuppie (that I have met).

I learn a lot from these boards, and haggling seems to be a pet peeve of many.  Based on this, my practice:  don't haggle.

But not haggling has it's problems too!  I wanted to do an overnight with my ATF who rarely if ever does them.  Asked her how much it would be, and she gave me a number.  I thought it was above market, and called the week before to let her know that I wasn't going to be making the trip up.

She knew something was screwy, and wanted to know what the deal was.  I told her that the price was above where I felt was reasonable, and really didn't want to get into a price discussion and therefore opted to decline.  She asked what I thought was fair, and we agreed on a price.  Bottom line:  she haggled, and told me I should have been comfortable doing the same.

Take away:  open discussion is appropriate with the ATF, don't haggle on early visits.

LOLOL...just kidding doll. You are very articulate and succinct in your post.

I too have a tattoo. In fact when the lovley Shaye visits Sin City she and I will visit one of my fav Ink Parlors to get my second and her...um...er...who the hell cares...LOL. She is sexy as hell. She is well read, funny, considerate and informative.

There are far too many sterotypes in this hobby. I have been asked more than once for discounts because I am a BBW and have been told I shouldn't charge what I do...because I am not in the same "league" as the other providers in Las Vegas. I get alot of.."I will give you $150 for an hour and not a penny more" This is based soley upon body appearance and not service or attitude. I laugh and hit the delete button.

So tell me what and where is this new tattoo of yours?...come to Vegas and show me yours and I will show you mine *wink*

I never said that you were not a class act.  But I believe you are the exception.  You're actually doing a little judging yourself.  Not all people who smoke, drink, or do drugs lack class.  So, you see, we all do it to a certain extent.  You're just mad because I mentioned the unattractiveness of your tattoos and what it may lead people to think of you.  You also should not wish that bad things happen to others, as you did in your message.

I personally think that your tattoos are nasty, and I would never be your client.

So, I guess most of you select your providers based on their inner beauty and skip the pictures?  All of you are making the same tired arguments, but when it comes down to it, you all evaluate providers based on appearance.  I know, it's easier to disagree with someone's point once 10 others have disagreed.

Marriage?!?!?!(evil grin) Alas, been there, done that, wasn't for me. However, i am hoping to be in Vegas for a few days late in June with some family, perhaps i can escape for alittle bit one evening. Would you settle for alittle "honeymooning"?? *wink**wink*

As for the tat, It's the head and claws of an eagle with a few parts of the flag behind it and it's on my right arm just below the shoulder.

I never wish anything bad on anyone...ever... that is extremly childish.

As for the drugs, smoking and drinking...I wasn't stereo typing anyone for that. Never said they didn't have class. I was stressing my point that I am not sitting around my house getting loaded.

I wasn't talking about anyone other than myself in my post.

I just wanted people to know that people who are tattooed are not the worst people in the world...

A much shorter version that I've heard, yet still with the same general meaning defines class as "what you do when no one is looking & will never find out."

Either version..short or long..would seem to be the only true litmus test.
