First off ...that I win the NYC 151 mega milllion.
secondly....all the best...happy and HEALTHY to all for 2004!

Thirdly...a new years' TER wish...on this board and all other TER boards...that when a subject gets good discussion as far as responses and maintains postings for the most recent date... that postings then get placed on the top again. It appears that many readers do not want to "next page " to keep a particular subject matter active.Comments appreciated.

Cheers and wishing a happy and healthy new year to all once again!

I like being able to click on the guys' posts (if they have reviews) and it takes me directly to where his reviews are and where I can learn more about him.

I would love to be able to do something exactly like that with the ladies' posts - maybe click on her handle and be taken directly to her profile. That would be so helpful and great!

It's so easy to click if I want to learn more about the guy, but if I want to learn more about her, it's a bit of a hassle (unless she posted her website link, which is why I used to post mine!) to find her. Being able to get directly to her profile would be awesome!

And, because it would seem to generate more interest for her, and impact her business; be more convenient for the guys, it could be a revenue source - for an additional X per year, she pays for that feature.

What do you think?

another advantage would be, that we wouldn't get flamed for being  self promoting when adding our link.
This is reason that I don't always post a link to my website.

I've seen ladies get flamed for this on the boards and they have left. Who would want to stay! But we need some ladies to keep this board going. What do you think?

we'll be left "holding our own."

Personally, I came for the reviews, stayed for the converstation.

Tread lightly, yes?

This has been discussed before, but I am too sleepy right now to search for the thread.  From what I remember, creating a way to link to each provider's reviews is much more complicated than linking to each reviewer's reviews.  I'm sure Staff can explain it better.

A number of the ladies I have seen were those whose comments on the discussion board interested me. Being able to click on the reviews would be a great idea, Sedona.

Even when a provider attaches her website link, I've found myself wondering in what city she works. Yeah, I realize it wouldn't be too hard to find out with a few minutes of research, but it sure would be nice to put the provider in my "favorites" and do the research later.

Great way to "cut to the chase".

I have many times became more intrigued with a provider after reading their comments on this board only to find no link.
Also, on those with a link, as Rick says you have to still figure out their home base city and what have you. Then the search engine needs to be initiated,etc.,etc.

As for my suggestion, its apparent to me that collectively, we just don't like to "next page" and continue great discussions.
Any thoughts?

As for the mega lottery, there was one lucky winner from Ohio.
Although my mistake was wishing to win next year...lol... Hey, you never know.

Cheers!

In order for this to work we need to link the member information (your TER username) to your review profile.  If you are a provider, please email me at [email protected] with your TER username and the phone number or email address on your TER Reviews.

This feature will not work when you use an alias.

Happy new year!  :-)

particular subject in the second and third page, maybe he/she don't care about the subject enough to give a worthwhile response.

In the past, I have done many long responses to messages with only single digits reads.  Some of them have valuable info I think many others will benefit especially those related to B&Ss and ROBs.  They only came up as responses to other member's inquiry as I don't initiate threads about that any more.

I had a rather bad experience in my limited participation in the other board.  The software there automatically placed old threads back in the front page whenever someone posts a response.  This kept old issues alive and created new tensions.  Sometimes it is better to let things faded away.

Just like it is not a good idea for someone to live too long or forever.  Everything has its beginning and end.  A lot of times, heated discussions only end when there are practically no more readers out there with the exception of the two antagonists.

Happy hobbying to all.
