Burnout for Hobbyists and the Hotel California Effect

There have been times, especially recently, where I feel I've gotten just about all I need from the hobby and that I should just take my bat and ball and go home, only to have some pretty young thing come along and keep me in the game. It happened again this week.

I've been at this a while; probably spent enough on the hobby to buy a private plane by now lol. Seems I just can't ever leave.  Sigh, guess I'll be flying commercial just a little bit longer;)

Anyone else experience this?

Is pussy out there I haven't tasted yet, I'm not ready to hang up my spurs.  Sometimes the burnout feelings come from seeing the same girl too long and you feel guilty wanting to move on. Customers come and go. It's part of the business that professionals accept. Nothing cures burnout better than new pussy.

Since I gravitate toward indies, rather than girls with a common booker, the hunt, with too many meh results, can become tiresome. I may ponder giving up hunting, but I always return to my favorites

....but like you we always find our way back. Needless to say there is plenty of motivation out there to restimulate our interest.

What are you going to do when you get there?  I know what I'll be doing...looking for you-know-what.

Memories are more precious than things

My landing strips will be at 4 star hotels for the foreseeable future; and that's just fine with me since I seem to be able to resist everything but temptation. And besides, everything else is just tarmac.

I briefly considered buying a plane a couple of times and I will agree flying commercial SUCKS BALLS once you get a taste of flying private, but just like marriage or a "hole in the water, surrounded by wood, into which you through money" also known as a boat. It's not the purchase price that hurts, it's the upkeep.

Fuck buying a plane, if I ever get so sick of crowded airports, uncomfortable flights with lousy service, not to mention all the bullshit of going through security, time sharing a plane is a lot better option than buying one, unless of course you have "real" money and with oil in the shitter, I don't see that in my immediate future unfortunatel

Flies, floats or fucks.. hahah

You should look into Net Jets :)

buying a boat AND a plane.  It worked great for me, but not so much for him.

Have a big sign that says, "we will fill your boat with gas."

So far everyone has brought us back. That takes care of the boating fix.
