Why are girls always lying about their FAKE photos, weight, and size ??? Do you know how many times I have shown up and NOT seen the girl in the pictures. And before you meet you read the reviews that reflect 9s and 10s? What the fuck? I recently had another hobbyist PM me and ask me this question and then asked me for advice and who to see because everyone is lying about age, weight, and looks. So I ask you... WHY?? I have walked in and saw the girl and walked right out. Guys you need to help set a standard and walk out and not fuck an ugly, fat escort because you ate horny and then proceed to rate them as a 9 or 10 because you feel bad for them. You are doing us, this website and everyone involved a disservice !!! Please be on the same page and help reform this huge, systemic issue!!!!
This is NOT meant to be mean to the girls. Some guys might like them chubby. Just reflect that on your website or photo graphs. We have to set a standard and move forward. Stop wasting our time and money and your time and money. I recently saw a girl that is rated over 50 times with 9s and 10s and when she opnened the door she was maybe a 6. Over weight, not like her website makes her look and older with saggy tits. It would be like sleeping with your mom. Nasty!!! WTF? Would you continue and fuck her anyway? I didnt. My dick would not get hard!!!
Fair, accurate and recent pictures are perfectly reasonable expectations. True, women come in all shapes, ages and sizes; but that is not a license to deceive. This is not an inexpensive hobby. Often, you are paying more than your monthly car payment for a single hour of fun. For that kind of investment, at a minimum, the girl behind the door should be the girl in the picture. If not, you should not reward deceptive behavior by staying.
I don't see many providers, but when I do I rely heavily on the reviews. It only happened to me once where the pics were no where near what she actually looked like, overweight, brunette not a redhead, and her reviews were 8's and 9s. I did leave telling her she mislead me on her website. Guys, we have to look out for each other by posting honest reviews. If we don't, this part of the site becomes useless.
I don't write reviews & rarely read them, except the summary to verify a girl isn't ripping people off. And if I get ripped off, I'll post an alert on my local board. But reviews often reveal more about the reviewer than the provider.
I've booked highly rated providers who were disappointing. And I've booked providers with mixed reviews who were amazing. It will always be hit & miss out there. And don't forget: a '7' who's sweet & passionate is often a better experience than a '9' who's a cold fish. That leads to another variable-- personal chemistry. When two people are in a room together, either it clicks or it doesn't. Every provider should put in her menu 'YMMV'. That's a good way to protect against unreasonable expectations. --z

I also think it woul be a help to us men if in his review, the hobbiest would post HIS age, I would think it would give us a better insight into his review.
Should we talk about it openly? My concern is if more people learn about it, how to game the system, then review situation (inaccuracy) could get worse.
I think one point of confusion is that some hobbyists may view the ratings similar to school grades. In most schools, 70% or higher ("C") is passing. A 7 out of 10 in TER reviews should be 70th percentile, that is, equal to or better than 70% of the general population. The knuckleheads who hand out 9s and 10s think that any merely pretty provider deserves a 10. Uh, no. A 9 or 10 in looks should be better than most of the women (90%) you would ever see at a mall, college, etc.
In other words, raise your damned standards and expect more! A 9 in looks should be a true head turner. A 10 in performance should leave you exhausted after going through every acronym in the book. Expect more for your money.
You may be perfect to test my theory. How many of the top 10 providers, in your area, have you seen? You should try and see what's your success rate in making a date to see them. I have a feeling that half of them will find excuses not to see you.
If you looked back about a year ago I posted something quite similar on this topic. If I could change my appearance scores for the gals that I have reviewed...I would drop all the scores by an average of 2 points...with a couple of exceptions both ways.
I realized that the scores that most mongers give out (including myself) were so unrealistic compared to what these ladies would compare to on the average. Many of the reviews were written shortly after a session where the reviewer was still on a high...and thus gave her an extra point, or two or three.
Let's head over to an upscale mall and sit for an afternoon. We can observe thousands of gals dressed in various clothing and rate them. And the likelihood that ANY of them are really a 10 is VERY VERY slim. The same should...and in reality does apply here. Hence my rationale for how I view the scoring system.
But I use a score as a point of reference only. I have a certain look that appeals to me. While others may like other types of looks. It's all a crap shoot...but the times I see a gal go on a crusade to get in the top 10 (and I've seen a few in ChiTown do just that) is nothing more than a tool to market themselves and try and increase their hourly rates.
And FWIW...I have indeed seen many of the top gals in Chicago....more than once.
And no...I haven't reviewed all of the gals I've seen. And won't.
SDLinguist's average score is fairly low. If he can get appointments with most of the top 10 providers in his area then the practice of gaming the system probably is not that common in his area. It may depends a lot on the area or I could be wrong, but you might want to keep in mind of card counting. Although it's not very common, it can be done. I can do it and have done it in the past. You don't always win, but you will come out ahead over time. Gaming the system is the same. You don't always get to the top by doing it, but you will increase your chance if you do it often enough.

But it was quite obvious to me that scores here are virtually meaningless. Hence I only use back channel as a way to decide if the lady is one that I really want to see. And in this manner, the truth is usually the result.
As I said, guys give these inflated scores for a variety of reasons. But in my post from a year ago I suggested that in a typical bell shaped curve the average scores here should be 4-6. And the reality is that most of the gals fall into that range, as does the rest of the population.
But as you are analyzing this, even if everyone said...sure CCPA, let's change it all up and go with that as an average score. You'd still have guys handing out now those 7's and 8's, in lieu of the current 9's and 10's. Which is why my favored method of scoring is PM'ng guys I now know...and trust their judgment. Reading many of the reviews here now...are just laughable.
And you'd still have those same gals gaming the system. But for me, now I have learned how to recognize those gals, and generally avoid. They can fool many with those asinine scores...but eventually the truth shows up. And not in the reviews mind you 
I would not label this guy as a "low reviewer" but moreso, a guy who has simply not chosen ladies who rank higher. OTOH, if he was seeing all 9 and 10 rated ladies and doing on purpose to be an ass by lowballing them to prove a point, that would be another thing. He is not doing that.

happens to me when im just browsing the ads on backpage. the majority of ads are big fat girls with misleading titles like "curvy, petite" and when i click the ad its just a picture of a big flat cellulite butt staring at me. I have this severe disgust of overweight people no offense. Their presence makes me uneasy and they smell bad to me. Ever since I was a child its been that way. I wish more Fit/Petite women like the one and only provider I met were around.

even had an 8 average overall, so it's more about seeing those who have a consistent mark for both looks and service, than it is about inflated scores. He never even saw an 8.5-10 overall lady, so how would he know the scores are inflated or not? I won't even get into the zero star ratings for a few of the others he has seen...it's not rocket science.

The sad truth is that when you deal with a provider who screens, she has info on you that can backfire if you take a heavy-handed approach.
Sucks, yes, but some of us have more to lose than the money invested in the session. For some of us, it is a better option to count it as a bad transaction than to try to make a statement.
And lest you think that guys like me are being manginas...well, you don't know what is talked about in the backchannels via email and PM. That's what the PM feature is for.
I completely agree with your part about ladies who have old or false photos, or who describe themselves as 80 lbs and 6 inches smaller than they are.
But when you try to standardize any completely subjective system such as "looks" that is a doomed failure from the start. It is subjective for a reason. I have one lady I see who in my eyes is stunningly beautiful. A near perfect reflection of whay I like in a lady's looks. To me she is a 10. Some other reviewers agree, but she has also gotten scores as low as a 5. The reverse has also happened. I received recommendations from a friend about two ladies. He really is a friend and would not lie about that to me. He said both were 9s/10s. I saw them, and while they were nice people and I enjoyed my visit, neither was above a 7 in my mind, and that may have been a stretch with one. But they both looked very similar, and clearly fit HIS preference.
If reviews and web sites were honest about currency of photos, that is all you should expect.
for anyone. I think everyone can find a super satisfying companion if they know how to do it. Because in the first place, looks, chemistry, and moods are subjective and differ with every companion+client combo and even differ by day/week. People lie about their appearance and put old photos up (people just don't realize that there is someone for everyone, and all of us can be so much happier when we're as honest as possible). But everyone's trying to make their money and that has to be factored in.
So you find someone who looks like someone you'd like to see, find all the photos you can on the internet of them, read their reviews (paying scant attention to numbers- there really is no plausible way of making numbers actually work due to the subjectiveness of it all), and then read their posts, websites, blogs, etc. to see if their personality matches in all categories, and then research the reviews (meaning that if someone has reviewed your desired provider and given her a 10, look at that reviewer's other reviews to see if he is consistent on how he rates them). Once you find general consistency, then maybe PM the reviewer to get more info/reassurance about her (heck- PM three of her reviewers!!), then finally make contact with her. You can tell a lot by someone's manner in correspondence. Ultimately, a complete 10 in looks might not be a 10 in experience for you because you two may share very little chemistry, and for many other reasons (she smells funny, she thinks you smell funny, she reminds you of your sister-in-law, whatever). So with every single engagement, ymmv, as there is nothing in the world that can account for every single outlying factor.
Problem is that people usually want a quick and easy lay, and all the above is too much work for them. Eventually, though, after doing the above a few times, you'll get to know several reviewers with tastes similar to your own, and then you'll have ample ladies to choose from without all the same work. (Although the laziness of allowing someone else to do all the work is probably not commendable.)
The other problem is that men seem to be so taken by visuals that they will book a woman with a fake photo on BP (or even on her own website) regardless of the fact that it's probably fake, without doing one iota of research, because the fantasy is so tantalizing. They allow themselves to be duped because the possibility of it being real is so alluring that it overrides logic. (Kinda like the Nigerian scams about a distant relative or fugitive dictator who wants to give you all their billions.) Those fellows are probably the most cynical of them all here after they've been taken a few times. (Just FYI, guys, someone who looks like Scarlett Johansson and charges 200/hour is probably a fake.)
In the end, as in any consumer transaction, it is down to the client to do his due diligence to make sure he is getting what he wants. He can blame the companions all he wants, but in the end, it was his choice to engage with her. Today, more than any other time in the past, there is enough information out there to make decisions that will leave you satisfied, if not thrilled, with your companion of choice. If you get "taken", don't blame the companion or her reviewers- blame yourself for not having put enough time and effort into getting the experience you want.

One time I went to see a very well reviewed woman on here. Her pictures were unbelievable and every review wsa a 10 or a 9 in appearance. When i show up, I'm greeted by a very old woman, much much older than the pictures. The pictures was a girl in her 20s and this woman was at least 40 years old. Her skin was pale and wrinkly.
The funny thing is, the provider refused to see me. She said she was uncomfortable with me for some reason. It's almost like she could sense that I was wondering why she was so old!
I have a question. Would I be able to leave a review or do you have to actually go through with the entire act to do so?

This board is proof that there is a huge market for forty somethings, all you accomplish by lying about your age is proving that you are untrustworthy. The guys that might like you won't call because you "appear" too young in the pics and the ones that do call will be disappointed because you lied to them.
