All of the above...but it still gets back to the fact that she's an insane sex monster, a drooling, squirting, moaning, pillow-chewing, fuck-machine. Yes, it's important that she's the total package, including a great sense of fun, smart and literary. But if all I wanted was to discuss books I'd stay home with my wife.
But I also like talking with the girl, especially if that girl has more than two brain cells to rub together (and especially if you can talk about things you can't talk about with the wife or GF). Otherwise, I might as well just save up my money and buy a RealDoll.
My ATF & I have a pretty good rapport with each other. When she tours my area, I may buy her lunch sometime and hang out with her and talk & not have a sexual session.

You hit the nail on the head. I drive 2hours round trip to see her, why? Sure the sex, but for the couple of hours I'm with her, she has me convinced that she likes me too. Well now we're getting into what's the definition of an ATF. For me it's The Best You Ever Had So Far and by no means exclusive. The idea of an exclusive provider violates a profound rule for me. Because you're right, there are so many wonderful women out there, how could I possibly limit myself to one? It's like asking me to violate my genetic code as a pre-programmed man-whore. My ATF is amazing. But she's only my ATF until somebody tops her. That's the man-whore code. And even if someone tops her, I'll still go back for more.
