hey all,

I need some advice, Im 39yrs 187lbs 6ft so so fit bmi is 29.

How do you know if you have ED?
Is it best to go see a doctor about it? I have been the last three years just taking those enhancement pills from the adult stores. They work for the day or two but then no affect afterwards.

Are you able to get and maintain an erection that is satisfying during sex (without the pills)? If not, a question
Is whether that is physical or mental? (Key differentiator usu whether you can get good morning boners or not)

Yes, in general, if you are concerned, you should see a doctor (and not rely upon advice here).

At an appointment, Make sure it's clear that's why you're there (or at least one of your main reasons for being there) and not the last question you ask in the last 2-3 minutes as the doctor is getting ready to leave.

Btw disclaimer: this does not constitute medical advice. :)

You need to get complete physical find out your glycemic index and go see you urologist. Taking OTC stuff is practically useless and wast of money.

Diabetes is a leading cause of ED along with other Glycemic indexes.

It is best to talk to your family practitioner or a urologist in order to determine the cause of the problem whether is physical, mental etc.. I would be very cautious taking OTC items, they may not interact well with your body or could make you sick so it is best to seek expert advice. Some people may not even be able to take those due to underlining health conditions so be aware of that as well.

Big Pharma makes so much money on these things.  There are three that actually do anything: brand names Cialis, Viagra, and Levitra.  They all run about $30/each.
As a non-health care person not giving professional advise, the three physiological things are diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.  It's not the diseases, but generally the other pills developed that cause the wood-chopping.
If you don't suffer from these things, then you may be looking at non-medical reasons.
Good luck.

enhancements pills are probably on the same shelf as the penis enhancement pumps, next to the blow up dolls! Go to a doctor, do not buy internet ED drugs on line. Went to my doctor last week and got a free 30 day supply of Cialis. Only 5mg but work just fine, they will give you 10mg or 20mg but less of them  for free.

as usual us americans treat . We dont work on PREVENTION. like the indian and asian medical systems do. Take a pill once you ruined yourself. Sure eating a diet sole on animal products. No fresh fruit whole grains or vegetables or green teas or a jog now and again. Of course thier shit aint working. Thats a signal they are due for a nice heart attack or stroke in very near future, Try preparing your own godam meal for a godam week for a change and get off fat lazy butt. How hard is it for them to cook up 7 chicken breast on sunday freeze a few and toss a few steam fresh bag in microwave, . But no we have the fattest country in the world. Its a shame. I went to canada years ago and was like, uh where is all the fat people and oh actually recycling bins next to every trash barrel, wow. We are the laziest country and we dont care about cooking our own food, Theyd rather grow fatter n fatter working over time and ignoring having quality of life like actually preparing your own food for a change. we live in a money driven society where money is the bottom line no matter what the effect on the next seven generations .It s a sham, Our grandkids will be swimming in plastic not oceans. And all the children learning to live off packaged processed food, andf spend the life on couch comouters and tv. They are taking down all the playgrounds now, because no one instills fresh air as a value to the kids. If I have kids no more than an hour tv a week. I d follow that is madonnas rule for lourdes. One hour tv a week. Then gwyneth palthrow. I d follow her example on how to feed my children. The obese kids that say its heridetary as they eat mcdinalds and chips with thier parents every day. No there eating and excercize habits are handed down.

Exactly. Its just not as simple as take a pill. Thats idiotic and insane to see a seriuos dysfunction in your body and think getting a pill is the answer. Our society is fuct! I am convinced.
Figure out why and fix it. Its high blood pressure and the american diet!

You'd think that MDs would be carrying this fight to their patients, but you'd be wrong.

My MD's first suggestion for whenever one of my stats starts to go awry is to prescribe a pill.  I say no way.  I'll just cut down on fat or salt or whatever and fix it that way.  I listen to the fast talk on the ads for those things and I want nothing to do with all the side effects they have, especially the ones that inhibit sexual function.

He says his patients all promise to eat healthier, but never do.   I surprised him and swore off potato chips, fried foods, salt, etc.  The next year the numbers were right back where they should be, and to top it off my sex life was better.

He said that I'm the exception, not the rule, but if he would at least urge his patients to seek the natural path to health, that, multiplied by thousands of doctors, could really have an impact.

Besides making people healthier, it would cut the cost of health care for all.

I wont go into the whole way the drug industry tries to get the MDs to go along with them, but you probably already know the score on that.

AF's are getting even worse, if that's even possible?

As for the actual topic, even though I drink like a fish, I do eat pretty healthy. I don't do it strictly for my health though, I just happen to prefer eating good food over eating crap. Anything  that comes from a box, or is served through a drive up window is almost be definition CRAP. I don't think I have eaten a McDonald's hamburger for about 20 years, and I expect it will be another twenty at least before I do it again.
