More on the eyes contest....

I'm just wondering, seeing as many posts on the thread below are stating that our votes are simply to curry favor with a particular provider, whether the judges (us) are being objective?

Seems to me that if you've seen the girl in question, it'd be hard to be objective.  I mean, yes, i have met the girl i voted for, but also yes, I think she has a pair of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.  Maybe it's tough for me when i've gazed deeply into them while the pleasure built... call it a conditioned response. LoL

If pure aesthetics in the pic were the whole contest and I'd never met any of them, maybe I would've voted for Ophelia or TS Gia, who both have very beautiful eyes, very well represented in their pics, but I've never met either of them (not personally into TSes but kudos to Gia for entering).

So, I admit to a certain level of bias... whattaya you guys and gals think?

Of course if you have seen someone and clicked, you are able to see the beauty you know. That does not mean or imply that others are not as beautiful or more beautiful than the one you know. If you had a fantasy of a provider you would be tempted to vote using the fantasy as part of your reasoning.

The only true test (IMHO) would be to show the pictures of the eyes only (or legs, or buns or whatever (except maybe the face)) and not know the identities of the ladies until after the voting is over.

But this is fine and I enjoy it. It is more fun and better than when we did not have these contests.

Not to copy but, USA-Ladies has the top twenty five listed for many categories. I'm not sure how they get their rankings or that is or is not fair; but it is interesting.

as to who is the "fairest in the land".  Of course any contest is limited to contestants joining THEIR own contest. So any contest is limited

Beauty is in the eye of the BEER HOLDER

Yes. Point well taken.

I have had the honor of gazing into four of the contestants eyes on a personal level and it is hard to stay objective. There is one other lady that I have met on a social level that I think has a distinctive set of eyes as well. There are a lot of beautiful eyes out there and this contest should be a close and fun one due to that fact.

Unfortunately, of my top five I think that two of ladies pictures do not capture the beauty of thier eyes fully. It's just like the Best Face Contest where people may not have their best photographs on display or are not photogenic.

To the ladies in the contest I have seen before, good luck and please know that I love you all and have drowned in your eyes!

And to that one special lady, have I got a birthday surprise for you!!!

feature new photos that the girls haven't used before.

yes, they'll still be able to champion their sex-starved minions into voting for them (via their assigned # - unless it was randomly re-assigned!) but at least the unknowing masses won't be swayed by the girl's name-reputation on the boards

there. i've said my peace on this topic

I've posted in the past saying the same thing.  Leave off the name and give them an ID number.  When it's over, put the name up and let it run for the week or three between contests.  C'mon masses, speak up!!

By the way, I covered the names and scrolled through trying to see if I could recognize any.  Got two right, one whom I had seen and the other whose picture was familiar.  That in itself provided fifteen minutes of cheap fun.

do as he (or his "Mistress") wishes!  of course, in which case who cares, right? since the voter would have demonstrated his (or her!) qualifications in knowing who he/she is crediting and for what. coupled with the previous safegaurds, this way we have some hope at proper accurate sampling of TER voters (*)

sometimes the obvious is so not-so-obvious!  :-)

(*) there's a reason why gallop-poll/market-survey/advertising/census folks get paid handsomely for what they do: they do it "correctly" given imperfect data

PS. at this point, could it be any more obvious that i'm an employee of Nielsen!

LOL

To the providers who posted pics of just their eyes as they naturally are, thank you!  Almost anone can have interesting eyes if they are made up to the gills.

Also, I agree with the other posts that the pics should be anonymous...and I would go one step further:  do not post the leaders during the contest, as it potentially influences voting.

Several of the suggestions made could improve the impartiality of these contests by not allowing the voter to know the name of the contestant.

However what are the purpose of these contests. They allow the providers to get additional free advertising and exposure by entering the contest.  They allow hobbyists to spend some enjoyable time looking at pictures and voting.  If you made it anonymous the advertising value to some ladies might be diminished because of the anonymity.  The prize of $500 is nice but it is just one appointment more or less to many of these ladies.

I don't have any reviews here on TER, but I do have a profile. Think I can enter the eyes contest even tho I don't have any reviews here? And does anyone know how long the contest will go for? Got to get a pic taken of my eyes and send it in if they will let me!
