In a interview in 2006, Spitzer, then-attorney general of New York, told ABC News he had some advice for people who break the law. "Never talk when you can nod, and never nod when you can wink, and never write an e-mail because it's death. You're giving prosecutors all the evidence we need," he said.

Shut the fuck up, It's been preached on this board and the le board ad nauseum.

He is right about about one thing, and that is to keep your mouth shut.  Most prosecutions depend on self-incrimination in violation of our rights (namely, confessing to the police without legal representation) in order to get convictions.  Even if you are pulled over for a traffic violation, say nothing, just cooperate, and keep your Fifth Amendment rights in mind at all times.  If they ask you how fast you were going, or if you had anything to drink, anything you say will be used against you...best you STFU, and make them prove you guilty.
