When in the room with a client....

ALWAYS KEEP YOUR DRINK CLOSE BY AND ALWAYS TAKE IT TO THE BATHROOM WITH YOU!

Do not leave your drink unattended in the room

Do not take a drink that is poured from an already open bottle that you did not personally see opened

A friend of mine went on a date last night which seemed harmless.  In retrospect we have determined that the reason why he stalled her and did not engage in extra curricular activities the entire date is that he slipped her something at the end of the date and was waiting for it to kick in.

She left the appt all the while talking to me the entire way from Red Rock to the Wynn which is about a 20 minute drive.  She was perfectly coherent.  Upon entering the garage at the Wynn her speech immediately and without warning slurred and she became incoherent.  Thankfully I knew exactly where she was so I could go and get her.  I found her in the parking garage completely out of sorts, slurred speech, confused, crying and incoherent.

After bringing her to my home, the effects wore off within the next several hours and she was thankfully back to normal.

Just remember that just because you are already in the room doesn't make the guy safe.

I know that this has happened to several of you and I wanted to bring it up again as I think that sometimes we get too comfortable with our clients and it just takes one time to let your guard down and something bad to happen!

Be Safe ladies!

UPDATE:  The guy in question is not a hobbyist by his own admission.  He is NOT A REGISTERED MEMBER OF TER or so he says!  He has now threatened her with a bad review this morning via email but says that he is not going to post it because this is "not his world and he should have known better"! STAY TUNED!

Any man that resorts to that kind of behavior deserves to be shot on site!!! Just pathetic. I hope that never happens to her again and I am glad she recovered from it.

It's pretty rough out there for a girl and sometimes hobbyists wonder why we screen so hard?

We have to worry about being drugged, physically hurt or killed, being ripped off, health concerns, being forced into something we're not comfortable with, LE, exposure, etc... there are so many risks out there for the ladies it's hard to imagine how one can make it through safely.

back in early March 2006

I had met him off of CL (I was still a new provider and didn't know as much about CL as I do now).

A client slipped something into my drink while I went to he bathroom.

When I came to, my clothes were in the shower wet, my phone and SS card gone.

I went home soaking wet (not to mentioned P'ed off)

It was later discovered that crack had also been added to my drink.

Thankfully, the man was caught and got what he deserved.

After that, I rarely drink and if I do...it's in the privacy of my own home.

I ALWAYS watch my drink. I don't need a roofie colada. I had a sorority sister in college get roofied (though the guy didn't count on her bf being there with her.) I also had a friend get slipped something in Vegas at Body English. She got a drink, drank something and collapsed. The paramedics carried her out and the guy had stolen her purse, so my friends chased him down thru the club and got her purse back.

It's scary out there sometimes. I still drink when I'm out at clubs/bars but I take my drink everywhere and I really watch who makes it and where it comes from. I will stand covering it when talking to people as well (you can do this subtlely by holding it a certain way.)

Katie

KL,

That is definitely scary!
When girls don\'t screen, they are putting their asses out there, literally and figuratively!

Thank you Sara for posting this.  I Will mention your reminder to my ATF as she leaves her wine unguarded with me and doesn't have access to TER.  I know I would never hurt her but I have no idea about the other guys she sees.  Better safe than sorry.

You bring up an excellent point, Sara, and, frankly, something I hadn't even considered. I will keep my eye on my wine from now on.

I am so glad you were able to help your friend - this incident also underscores the importance of not being isolated - of having a support network of good friends.

I assume you'll place this scoundrel's info on all appropriate ladies' boards...

Stay Safe Ladies!

We might all consider mentioning this to the ladies that we see. A lot of them don't have access to TER, or just don't come here on a regular basis.

This asshole SHOULD be shot.  It's guys like him that make it hard for us guys to get the girls to trust us, let alone the peril he put the provider in.

Girls, please be careful.  I just posted this on the Florida board.  It should be on all the regional boards.

I am so happy for your friend Sara, that you were able to help her get out of a potentially serious situation.  Your friend is a lucky girl to have you as a friend.

I am so glad you were there to help her.  That is terrifying.  I always wonder exactly what the guys who drug providers are trying to achieve...scoring isn't the issue- so what are they trying to get?  My imagination is pretty wild- the possibilites are alarming.

When I was still bartending I experienced a similar situation.  I went in to drink at the bar where I worked.  I worked another daytime civilian job at the time, arrived at 5:30pm after work for happy hour- drank exactly two beers and a shot of jagermeister.  I woke up the next morning, in my bed with no clue how I got there.  Turns out I stayed out till 2am, closed the bar and drove myself home (I never drink and drive).  Those present said I seemed fine, just a little more outgoing than normal- that was the only difference.  I completely lost 14 hrs.  There was a gentleman in the bar no one knew and everyone's money was on him, guess he didn't realize I was among close friends and clients so the chances of him leaving with him were slim to none.

From that experience, I am super paranoid about my drinks.  Glad your friend is OK.

XO
Melanie

Please excuse my language but that entire story really sucks! I simply cannot understand why these things go on..

It simply makes it harder for all the well meaning folks to carry on.

One of the many enjoyements I look forward to when I am with a lady is opening a nice bottle of red wine we can experience together; I love good Red Zinfandels & Carbernet's quite a bit. If the lady prefers something else I bring it along.

AS I write this I am realizing that I will never open the bottle again (good wine needs to breath) prior to the lady arriving..If we know each other than I hope there is no concern.

Without a doubt screening is very important for all concerned but I am not sure what kind of screening would filter out this "sick abhorent" activity.

Interestingly enough I had no idea what a roofie was until I got into this hobby..Live & learn..

a glass of wine, make sure there is packaging OVER the cork before it is opened. Eliminates further tampering risks.

Some good wines (mainly overseas) are moving away from corks altogether, and to caps which you can tell immediately if they've ever been removed/cracked.

Here's why this is really disturbing: the guy just lets her drive off with that timebomb inside her without saying anything.  I think you have to man up and admit what you did at that point (although I guess being a coward got him into this mess).  What if she passed out while driving on the freeway?  Jesus fucking christ.

Happened to me at a club TWICE.. The second time around, well lets just say I had someone had their way with me..

What an f'in low-life. I hate hearing stories like this, it angers me. Well hopefully she learned and will be more cautious, and maybe a bus will hit this f-in scumbag.

For one, shoot the MFer!

For two, ladies that have seen me know that I make it a point to open a beverage (wine, liquer, soft drink, bottled water, etc.) in front of my date so she can hear the pop of the seal being broken.  It is a small way to show trust.

I am so glad your friend is okay thank God she has someone like you to be there for her. I never drink with a client unless the bottle is unopened. I also like to rinse the glass out before hand. I may be super paranoid but I had a very very good friend kidnapped and raped several years ago from a bar after she was drugged.

The purpose for doing this to a provider is not about sex. It is about control. Rape is not about the sex it is about controlling someone else. Your friend is lucky to have survived without being assaulted.

Remember girls, beware, especially with someone you have never met before. Take every precaution to ensure you do not become a victim.

First, I'd just like to say that what this man did, I view as criminal behavior. I'm so happy your friend is safe, and I hope there is someway to protect other women from this jerk. That being said, and at the risk of being flamed, I think his behavior isn't much different than what some young men begin exercising in their high school and college years. When, they purposefully make their dates drinks much stronger than their own, with the intent to have her do something she probably would not do if she was in full control of herself. This is much the same scenario in the she loses control while he maintains control and hence control over her. There is some difference between what this person did with your friend and the behavior I just described, in that sex was on the table so to speak, where in the later, sex was part of what was to be obtained. But, again, they are the same, in that the man is trying to gain control of a woman by deceitfully making her lose control of herself.

You bring up many good points/observations. In your second and more pervasive example, the women are not able to make a conscious rational decision and thereby this could be seen as criminal too.

The lengths men will go to to have sex is beyond me. I thank the universe every day that I am a woman and are governed by my hormones(or not as severely as men are). Thank you to those men who are more honorable and decent. If it weren't for you we women would have a very jaded picture of the male species.

Good note Sara-

Did you track down this piece of scum?  Where he lives or maybe he was visiting from out of town?  I would not mind paying this guy a little visit that he would definitely remember--a visit he would NOT enjoy, so to speak.

Did you follow up with your friend, perhaps a visit to the doctor just to make sure there was no long lasting effects, traces of poison in the system, etc.?

when I got to appointments I always watch the guy prepare the drink or open bottle.  and then If I step out of the room my drink comes with me never leave it laying around so someone could slip something into it.  you soo need to be careful today and after hearing about this I will be extra careful.
