...as has been done in the new Anthony Bourdain documentary.

They synthesized his voice to produce 45 seconds of "spoken" dialogue that he never actually vocalized.

Not too long in the future and we won't know if it's Real or Memorex.

(yes, that an Old Fart/dinosaur reference)

Pretty face!! But is she real or not?

Designed to Deceive: Do These People Look Real to You?
.
"There are now businesses that sell fake people. On the website Generated.Photos, you can buy a “unique, worry-free” fake person for $2.99, or 1,000 people for $1,000. If you just need a couple of fake people — for characters in a video game, or to make your company website appear more diverse — you can get their photos for free on ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com. Adjust their likeness as needed; make them old or young or the ethnicity of your choosing. ..."
.
When you call the agency that you think is using fake pics, they might just send you another fake pic!

Images appear at random, & you need to reload the page to generate a new one.  If these images are computer generated, most of them are really good.  However, I noticed a couple of problems.  On some images, a partial image of another person's face can be seen next to the primary person's image.  The partial images I saw were severely distorted.  One had an eye near the chin, & another was "stretched", similar to what you might see in one of those funny carnival mirrors.  Yet another looked like a burn victim.  There were also a couple of images that looked androgynous (think "Pat" of SNL from years ago).  Finally, one other definitely was of a woman, but it looked like she had razor stubble above her lip & on her chin.  So it's far from perfect.

Is that it only creates one unique face. Hence why it won't be used en masse. It's easy to create such face via ai for one still. How about five photos with the same face in different positions and different facial expressions ? Not so easy anymore.

What agencies (Asian ones) usually do is  take a model pic. Some lazier ones use them as is, most at least run them through some reverse image searches. Some will leave it as is, some will photoshop another head on and/or adjust some details. The way many plain reverse image searches work is through direct pixel comparisons or other base image composition values. So if you change enough of image composition, non-advanced image searches won't show this pic anymore.
