I can afford a lot more car than I have, a vehicle is a vehicle to me. However, my car is very reliable, knock on wood and if it weren't I'd buy another one that is. But wow, it seems like quite a large population of providers have mechanically unsound cars.

Ok seriously, I always schedule at least a week ahead of time, I never try to negotiate rates, I'm always conscious of time so as not to go over. And yet, I've had many ladies late to appointments because of car problems, I suspect they are lying, duh.

Understand that some of us, myself for example have to travel to see you ladies, so in some cases you may think it's only that you are 2 hours late, but your client may have a 6:00 am flight the nextday and you are cutting into his sleep time before a long day of traveling by your oops.

I've had 1 lady who was early, she texted to ask if it was OK to start early, of course I said yes and this was very refreshing. What this told me, is that she was cognizant of the fact that there was a possibility of traffic impeding her from getting to the appointment on time so she allowed for extra time and thus she was early. I was her last appointment of the day, I know this because there is something she does that she'll only do for her last appointment of her day and I scheduled accordingly.

I could understand a lady running late if it were a last minute appointment, but I don't request last minute appointments, I have to preplan. I'm not the type to put an unnecessary negative comment in my review of a provider unless she is significantly late and it has a big impact on my schedule, 10 or 15 or even 30 minutes late is not a problem as long as the 2 or 3 hour appointment is still 2or 3 hours. I was 15 minutes late for an incall once which was a 2 hour appointment and I left promptly at the 1 hour 45 minute mark which was the 2 hour mark of the appointment I requested. It was my fault for being late, not hers and therefore it was incumbent on me to sacrifice not her.

So it seems I've gone off on a tangent as I'm prone to do. Do a large percentage of you ladies really have such unreliable vehicles? Do some ladies give a bullshit car problems story when they just mismanaged time? Do most ladies respect their clients time as their clients should respect their's. Honesty is the best policy, and respect is paramount in every relationship. If you are running late tell us ahead of the appointment time and give us a realistic real arrival time. There may be instances that your being late will make it impossible to still be able to have the appointment, but that is the fault of the person who is late, and being honest and upfront will likely benefit you because that client will likely return.

To make that much money and not have a decent car? Again, hilarious. The only time my vehicle was ever an issue was in 2009 when some c*nt passed a stop sign and hit me... I still made the appt. I honestly don't see how anyone can't afford a nice car doing this. I have never bought a brand new vehicle, but I drive nothing but Mercedes or Infiniti... all were certified used vehicles with a warranty and I paid CASH. When you have a car note, a bit harder to get shit fixed I would imagine.

Or you could have bought a Honda and saved 30-50K for your IRA.

I love it now we're WK'ing for Car Companies and Hookers !!!!

For all her bitchin', she could have bought a Civic and retired a year earlier.

HooktardGold1528 reads

ou sound like a whiney jealous hooker pissed you don't have a nice car, and some of us do lol. I never paid a car note, so how could another car cause me to retire early? Did you miss the part where I said I did not pay book value? I get my cars from ONE person who does drug repos... he happened to have a Mercedes when I was looking, and I took it. If it had been a Toyota 4 Runner in black with sunroof and leather, I would have taken that!

Trust me, the money I made as a hooker did not pay my bills... it just helped a little. I make more at my real job than I made as LR.  I had other things in mind, like a condo on the beach and getting a job that paid enough for me NOT to need any more money. My vehicles have nothing to do with that.

A new car would actually be cheaper. Chryslers, I've learned, are very expensive to fix. :)

P.S. My current situation is bout to end. Confirmed yesterday. :D

While I do agree. You can weld the hood shut on a Honda, and drive it for 100k and probably not breakdown.
I have run them with no oil, no tranny fluid, blown struts.. Hell completely blown front end.
They just keep on going.. It's amazing..  The wheels will fall off before the engine dies.

But this is a car. Ill bet the battery dies in an hour though. :(

All electric. 1088hp.
Fucking awesome

Even though a newer Valeron may have more horsepower.
This puppy is electrical..
A combustion engine just can't deliver the instant direct torque an electric engine can.

Okay I'm done.

What the hell did Honda do when they remodeled the body of the car?Terrible looking just my opinion.
My first car was a certified used Honda Accord ran forever when I traded it the car still ran great but the paint and the body had shown alot of wear and sun damage being in the desert.
Nowadays I like more horsepower so Honda is a little too slow for me.lol
I do think in some instances that some ladies genuinely do have car problems but you will know if the excuse is bs if they do not offer to make it up to you if she has to cancel at the last minute.

I have had to cancel one time on a gent I had a flat tire that had a nail in it and could not be easily fixed and the appt was in the evening. But,I did make it right and added some extra time the next time we saw each other for having to cancel.
Right before xmas went to an appt and on the way home got totally rear-ended so bad that insurance considered the car a total loss.I still found a way to get around using a rental car until I bought a new car.
I think the car excuse while might be legit in some instances is bs in another.
I was talking to a gent who was cancelled on at the last minute by a provider with car problems he found that quite funny considering she had a brand new corvette.lo

Besides, I did not pay for the Mercedes... the SUV anyway. It was a gift. And, actually what I would have paid for a brand new Honda decked out, is about what I have paid for all luxury cars, used. Pssst, I don't have an IRA, but thanks Cisco. I will pass that along to my boss who happens to know his shit.

I got my SUV in 2009 as a gift, and it's 2014, dude. If my intent was to brag about 'driving a nice car' I would have lied and said the thing was brand fkin new, and I would have picked something better than Mercedes. You can drive a Honda and piss your money away on HOOKERS... I will drive my PAID OFF Mercedes, let someone pay off my mortage in Nola while I live on the beach, and work a real job. :)

and others who drive 12 year old Subaru's.  Not to mention that many very high-end HDH's who only use zipcars.

Frankly a car is a worthless piece of shit that devalues daily.  I have tended to own my car(s) for over 13 years before I would cave in and buy a new one (thank you Lexus).

I prefer to see the gals not throw money into any luxury auto and deposit that money into her education or investment (retirement) account.  Or even better pay off that fucking credit card debt!

Seeing a gal pull up in a $ 90k machine does nothing for me...and in most of those cases they are underwater on the damn car.

As for the OP's lamenting of using the car excuse to be late or no show...easy enough to use the...

My dog ate the printout with your address on it
My friend had an emergency lobotomy
My mother (father, sister, brother) had an emergency wedding I had to go to (hooker supplies the shotgun)
My car was just in an accident and I can't make it...sorry sweetie  LOL
My grandmother just made the Sochi olympics and I'll be watching her compete in the luge
There's a solar storm heading our way, so I can't get the car out now
I ran out of gas and didn't have enough money to put in enough gas to see you...damn Mercedes S-Class

The list is endless  LOL

The more expansive the vehicle is, the less I want to drive it. Especially if I still owe money on it.

What ever happened to the concept of a flying carpet? lol

I share your view of high end luxury vehicles. I drive a modest vehicle that gets above average gas mileage, although unlike you I don't keep a vehicle for a long period of time. I trade in just before the end of the warranty. But I don't feel my tastes are for everyone. I have a good friend who is a Corvette fanatic, the accident at the Corvette museum nearly broke his heart. I feel like riding in a Corvette is like riding in a coffin with no shock absorbers 6" above the pavement. But to each their own, I like fine pussy and I'm willing to pay for it, not everyone is (although I've said it before and I'll say it again every man pays for pussy in some way, directly or indirectly).

HooktardGold1327 reads

Yah, I agree. I find it utterly hilarious that the guys who spend thousands on ass are handing out financial advice and what is a waste of money lol. Um, at least I have something to SHOW for the damn money spent, and I will get money when I sell the fker or trade up like I have done the last few times. I don't get a new car every couple years... in fact, I have NEVER bought a new vehicle because you lose 5k when you drive off the lot. I like certain brands, and that's what I am going to drive. If it ever got to the point where I could not afford the upkeep, I will get a damn Jeep!

If a Toyota 4 runner is 40k and a used Mercedes SUV is also 40k, wtf difference does it make if one chooses the latter? The only repairs I have had are the ignition switch and the power steering hose, but when you don't spend 500 plus on a car note you can AFFORD the occasional repair. I don't go to the dealership for repairs either. Hookers tend to have a few guys willing to trade, if you know what I'm sayin.

"If it ever got to the point where I could not afford the upkeep, I will get a damn Jeep!"

If you can't afford the upkeep on a Mercedes, the last fucking thing you want is a Jeep.. been driving Jeeps since they were built by Willys and I'm here to tell you they are not inexpensive to run..

You want a Dodge Power Wagon, you can't kill those fuckers with a .45. They look like shit, drive like shit and ride like shit, but they just keep going and going and going..

HooktardGold1577 reads

no one can tell what year it is lol. I love Jeeps... Wranglers, not those hard top ones either. Bottom line is... a money pit is a money pit. My mom drives a Toyota, dad an Impala or however the fk you spell it. Both of those cars have been in the shop more times than my shit ever has, so whatcha gonna do lol.

A 2002 forester and a 1997 impreza with only 120,000 miles both run great fun to drive I love my car.

I already know your answer to this question , you are perhaps an exception to the rule.

But just for giggles let's say you were running late for an appointment, would you call your client when you knew there was a possibility of you being late, inform him and give him an estimate of when you could be there realistically? Or would you leave him hanging and wondering if and when you were going to show?

A reverse for instance, I was traveling to see my ATF for a prescheduled appointment and there were weather delays for my flights that were significant enough that it could impact me getting to our appointment on time. I had scheduled our appointment for five hours after my flight was scheduled to land, but the weather delays were that significant that there was a potential it was going to be touch and go. So I texted her when I first heard of the delay at the airport gate to let her know, just in case she may have an opportunity to see another client and move our appointment accordingly. She told me to just keep her updated, she knew I was staying at the same hotel as she was, I always did, so moving the time around was fairly easy for me. I ended up landing 1 1/2 hours prior to the original appointment and we kept everything as planned but she appreciated the update and opportunity to potentially move our appointment to accomodate another client. I would do the same thing for my hair stylist or Doctor, it's called common courtesy.

Neither do I.

All our estimates are based their hourly rates. I have been close to couple of providers (retired now) and they would not have enough money to pay rent. Some have kids and have to pay for Baby Sitters, some support dead beat family members. It was the case with one, I have given her money to pay rent because just didn’t want her thrown out on streets with her two kids on damn cold night.

The human factor is not considered most time, and most base their judgement on external things one see.

Cuz the lady was not ready.  Yeah I'm prolly the worst dumass  to be waiting that long... but she was a good provider and was honest about why she's running late.

Kept good communication going through out the wait. As long as my schedule for that evening is clear my dick tents to do the thinking for me.  :D

As for cars, some of the PS I did an out call in LA seem to drive vnice cars.  Mercedes sports, BMW 5 series,  Lexus, infinity,

But they don't seem to own a home....  :

It was over an hour away.  As I was getting ready my dog left a big pile of diarrhea on the carpet and I had just taken her out.  I was late because I had to clean the disgusting mess up and then re shower, and that's what I told my client lol.  I prefer to tell the truth, but regarding cars there was one instance where I was rearended, my car was ok but I had minor whiplash.  I was late because I had to go to the store and pick up some pain relievers.  I was rearended three times last December!  Twice at a stop light and once in a parking lot and none of them got out to say they were sorry.  People these days man....

You seem to attract too many who I guess like Greek  LOL

Or a driver's license, because driving gives me a special kind of anxiety, so, I'll offer a different perspective.

As I imagine smart/cheap girls would in New York or any other city with good or better transit like/than Chicago, when I'm travelling around the city, particularly to downtown, I use the train and the bus, or cabs depending on time and distance. Most of my clients know this. On occasion, I'll be running late either because I took a little too long picking a pair of shoes or, I don't know, spaced out, and the "train is delayed" excuse is always what I use. It doesn't matter what really happened, it's just easier to think of and explain away. And I don't feel as stupid saying that as I would saying I got really caught up watching House of Cards

Sooo...YouWanna1607 reads

Why? I'm not sure. Other financial obligations ranging from kids to Luis Vitton. Indy girls are usually a little better, but most agency girls are to busy to handle even basic maintenance on their own bodies, let alone their cars.

I get flats all the friggen time, which is weird, but other than that just take care of it like it's something you actually paid thousands of dollars for and it should be fine. Why people don't get this, I will never know.

Here's how I feel about it...

For the risks I took as a hooker, damn right I will live in a nice house, drive a nice car, and my child will go to the best schools. I did not suck d*ck for six years to live like I have been working at Walmart lol. Now, that I do have a real job, I don't mind giving up a few luxuries, but I will be damned if I prostitute myself for shit I could buy on 12 bucks an hour and send my kid to a public school.

I was smart about my money from a very young age, bought a foreclosure at 23, flipped that for extra cash, did a lease purchase someone else is now paying off for me while I live in Fla. and at this time my only real debt is student loans. Sorry, but there is no way in hell I could have sucked that much d*ck to pay for my schooling. I would have had to see 20 guys a week for years on end at a low rate. Ok, I 'could have' done it, but I could have also put a gun to my head.

As per your question, based on the women I've met here, I'd give three simple reasons: 1) Lack of knowledge about basic car maintenance/repair, 2) Bad money management, and 3) General irresponsibility

I have a 15-year-old car with 150k+ miles. I never get more than a few hundred bucks if I sell it. I'm more than willing (eager even) to replace it. BUT it just WILL NOT DIE and has never had an issue that cost me more than $400 to fix. I'm not signing any agreement for xxx/month plus interest when I'd be basically losing money. As long as I can drive my car without any issues...I will continue to do so. I do occasionally get the side eye from clients, but I really don't give a sh**.

So far, the only time my car's ever prevented me from getting to an appt on time was when I got a flat tire. But with my luck...when my car finally does go... I will be on the way to some overnight/weekend date that I NEED to do desperately. LOL.

Wow I can assure you I could care less what you drive. All I care about is that you arrive on time (within reason) and you rock my world for the length of time we agreed upon. I see it as being none of my damn business what you, or anyone else drives.

VOO-doo1210 reads

I keep it outside, and particularly with the tough winter we're having in the East...my paint/wax is NOT looking so hot.

I agree with what CPA said. It's just not smart for me to get some $80k car and bury myself in debt, when my POS works just fine. When my car requires any repair in excess of $1k or the dealer tells me it's getting to be time...I will get something new. I have my eyes on a used Toyota Prius, lol. I figure...if a client is so concerned over what I drive...he can get me a new car matching his own particular desires, himself :-D But no one has so far.

by keeping an old reliable vehicle. Cars are money pits and expenses are significant even for a "newer" car. There's also a certain comfort in not giving two shits if you find yourself in a situation where you have to dump the vehicle (not talking illegal activity, but for example, if you were on the east coast during the recent snow storm, I guarantee you that Mercedes drivers were shitting their pants in having to abandon their cars on the side of the highway).

Your condescension is very telling of someone who is just pissed he can't buy a nice car.

I lost my Infiniti in Hurricane Katrina... telephone pole fell on it. Duh... I had full coverage insurance with no car note to worry about paying. I have a CHILD dear, and I am not going to ride her around in some beat up POS that could leave us stranded in the hood. Thanks. I have had just about every kind of car you can imagine growing up, because my dad was also smart by paying cash for used cars and never a note. When you don't lease, you CAN afford to drive a higher end vehicle. My insurance for a damn SUV is less than 180 a month, and I have been in 13 wrecks.

For what providers have to put up with, we should all be driving a brand new fkin Porsche.

It sounds like you got a great deal. I paid 3k cash for a car that originally had 15,000 mikes and sat in a parking garage. I bougjt it directly from the owner. I get it serviced at the dealer and basically do whatever they tell me to do, in terms of maintenance. They have offered to buy it from me when I am ready to trade in. If it was unreliable, I would get another car in a heartbeat. I am actually looking forward to that happening. But if it isn't giving me a single problem besides the occasional f lat....why do it?

My insurance is also super cheap...but it has a deductible that probably matches the blue book value of the car at this point...lol

I live in an area where we don't have too many public transportation options, except the bus. No way. I enjoy my drives along the beach in a nice vehicle that I can actually stretch out in, listen to Octane in, etc. and not to worry about breakiing down every other month. I don't believe in spending damn 70 or above on a new car, but if I could afford that, damn straight. Some of these guys sound like the same type who will bitch at a guy because she spent 1k on a hooker, when they can only afford 200. Sucks to be you, I guess.

If all I had was some rented apartment, trust me... I would be driving a cheaper car because I would be tossing money away on rent so it would be stupid to pay that much for a vehicle without a damn home adding to my net worth. I would always invest more into a home vs. a car.

I have experienced luxury cars very little, so I guess I do not know what I am missing. As long as a car is reliable and cheap...I am sold. Actually, that is not quite true. Revised: as long as a car is cheap to drive, insure, and maintain...and a trusted man in my life gives me the OK (essential) I am sold. I have to admit that I have never purchased a car without a man's input.

Some ladies have their shit together and some don't. Any surprises here?

Bit perhaps it's that I'd rather not be lied to, things happen, let me know how long I'll be delayed by what ever instances caused you to be late for a scheduled appointment.

I have been having car troubles for more than 6 months and counting.....the list of repairs on my car  is longer than a man's (whatumacallit)....
It sits and stares at me everyday wanting me and wishing my ass was driving it somewhere special.
I am not at liberty to just go out and buy a new one, so I patiently wait until the time is right and my finances allow me to purchase another one within my budget.
When I do outcalls, I inform the gentleman that I am relying on another or public transportation and our date may not start right on time, but I will be staying the full allotted time if not more.

Hooray it's tax season and I see a car in my very near future:-)

simply not my gig. I'll spend 1K on new irons (golf) or $400 on a new driver. I'll go out to dinner 3-4 times a week and drop close to $100 each I'll spend a ridiculous amount of $ on a Country Club membership (really only because it's the only nice course within a commute that I'm willing to endure 2-3 times a week).

That car is cool looking, but I wouldn't own it. I just doesn't do it for me. But it's cool that you and a lot of other folks enjoy that kind of thing. If we all liked the same things and we all thought alike it'd be a boring world.

Never gave a reason why she was late. She just was.

I seem to have bad luck with vehicles, lol. Was on the way to NE once, and the part that holds the tire onto the vehicle snapped....rear tire(rim & everything) went flying off the back of the SUV going 65mph in Iowa some damn where. Was thankfully able to safely pull to the side of the highway, called a tow truck...was only 1 mile from the next exit of a town of about 500, BUT, they had an auto repair shop & a rental car place. Had to stay the night in the town until rental place re-opened, then rented car, finished driving to NE, stayed my two days (the one from the night before was told what happened the day previous & re-scheduled), then drive back, picked up my now fixed SUV (to the tune of $580), & continued on my way.

Another time, was on the way to an appointment, stopped to get some gas, & my SUV (yes, same one), was stolen. Called appointment, explained situation, & rescheduled for the next day. My SUV was recovered immediately, but they had broken the steering shaft, so it was not drivable...took a cab until my truck was fixed. About four months later, after just  having had the transmission replaced, on the WAY HOME from the auto shot, my engine blew, lol.... Had two other vehicles before that (also Cadillac, as was the SUV), that gave me tons of problems. They are great vehicles, until they reach that "point" and then they just start having problem after problem.

Had other incidents, such as flat tires, but those are easy to change & I can do that in about 20 minutes or so...when it has happened, I just call and let the gent know what happened, and I am running x-amount of time behind schedule.

Had two Hondas and one Acura between the ages of 16-26....those things will run FOREVER..in fact, the engine will still be running like a champ, as the body starts to fall apart. Have had some Chevy's too....the older one's are reliable....the one I had on 2007 & 2011 had too many reoccurring problems...no more Chevy for me. Now I'm on Nissan...which is pretty reliable, up-keep isn't too bad, repairs aren't too expensive....next car will probably be a Kia.

If I had read your subject line "Yellow cabs are my favorite. Wonderful convos." and not seen your name I would've guessed it was you, and simply because of your "Wonderful convos." remark. I'd bet that you make quite a few cabbies night in those short convos. There are some women in here that I think would be cool to just hang out with and shoot the shit with at a coffee shop, off the top of my head, you, Tobi, Courtney and of course hooktardgold formerly known as .. oh my goodness I think my sides would be sore afterward with her from laughing so hard.

if there is no traffic, and I arrive early I will wait in my car and follow up on emails, then head on up to the room.
Respecting time is very important to me. I try to remain as professional as possible from start to finish!! :)
Communication is key as well!!... It's important to me to respond back to every email/text/call very promptly!!
