There is a scam virus that is activated when you click on a porn site.  It opens a page that is VERY offical looking that says you have violated a law and your computer is blocked until you pay a fine of $300.  then it actually locks up your computer and it is very complicated to get out of.  google "fbi blocking computer" and you will see full details.

Don't fall this.  It's just some malware.

Virus  has been known for over two years.  All reputable anti-virus/anti-malware software has this covered

The FBI/ICE versions are not too hardtop get rid of IF you have antimalware programs already installed & know how to boot in safe mode.  It helps immensely to have a second computer to look up specific techniques.  When porn may be a compromised site there are other legit sites that can be hijacked.    
The worst one is a newer encryption deal that has yet to be broken.  You can get around it but you lose all your encrypted data.  If you have a back up drive it might not be so bad.

When my PC got infected with this a few months ago, I used my cellphone to get instructions on how to disinfect.  It took over a day, but I was able to eventually to rid myself of this affliction.  A couple of weeks later, Norton anti-virus software was able to prevent the virus from delivering it's crippling code, and if I encounter it now, I just kill it by using Task Manager to kill the process, then restart Firefox. and it's gone.  Running anti-virus scans removes any traces that might exist beyond that...

..perversely enough, one of the best computers to view on (from a security standpoint) is a Google Chromebook.  You might not be able to use them for running Excel or editing video, but let's face it:  90% of what people use computers for is watching cat videos (or porn), checking email (so that they can look at the latest cat videos/porn their friends have found), and other "worthy" uses.

If you're going to be doing a lot of porn viewing, a Chromebook is great, since it's not really a computer at all.  It's just an internet browser with a keyboard and monitor attached.  It's hard to compromise it, since executable code is almost impossible to be "allowed" into the machine.

If somehow your Chromebook does get hosed, you just blow everything away, and start over again, from a virgin installation.  Obviously, don't have any really important or sensitive info on one of these little suckers.

But for light duty use, they're great little toys, IMHO.

i ended up having to take it shop not once but twice after that .

JUST DO A system restore and it goes away.
