Please do not embed .wav files of your voice on your webpages.  Normally I surf the web with my speakers off, but I had just been listening to some CD's and forgot.  I clicked on a provider's website and her voice came booming out at CD decibel levels.  I shit my pants (so to speak) and dove for the volume control.  Since my wife was in the other room, I had some concerns.

Having your voice greeting available is a nice touch, but please make us click a link or a button to hear it.  I don't look good with a red face and a shit-eating grin, and neither do most other potential clients.  Thanks!

As well, sending e cards with loud noises, REGARDLESS of the recipient.  At least write a warning.....

Nothing like surfing and having some loud noise wake up your significant other!

Since I hate intrusive noise, anything that disturbs MY beauty sleep, lol, and yes, even phone calls from you gents (just emails, please!?!) I was already  aware of this.  Or maybe it's because I used to sneak around my dad to go into the garden late at night to kiss my boyfriend when I was a teenager that I became aware of noise.

There are webmasters out there pushing the high tech and flash, trying to convince the ladies that the flashier, the noisier, the better edge.

We ladies need to consider the other side ... meaning YOUR COMFORT ZONES! Independently of what webmeisters try to tell us.

Won't work for the seller if it doesn't work for the buyer!

I persoanlly neveer understood why providers put their voice up anyways. I think that the sound quality makes their voicec soind like crap and the way they try to be sexy in their tones doesn't usually ork either. It is nice a try to do something new but voice recordings seem pointless to me.

Video, now that is a different story.

I realize that the outlook express window comes up...but if you are going to email me, it will anyway.  As well, it's in this TER database ... and I will follow that suggestion on my site. Here it that address again:   [email protected]

I should clarify though,  that what I meant in my post was that I would rather do email than phones, as I find phone calls jarring and I would rather hold someone than put them on hold.  Fortunately for me, I have that choice of phone call or email.

Thanks

Hi, Felicia,

I too have a separate address. Outlook is for business and relatives, while yahoo/hotmail/whatever are for more private communication.

I'm not comfortable hitting the SUBMIT button on a web form. Who knows what data is being sucked out of my PC in addition to the typed in form data. (Last time i looked, there was lots of information in an http header that I might not want to share.)

I do like getting to know someone a bit via email. That's an excellent practice.

Regards,
Anon O'Male

Right-click the email link and select copy shortcut.  Then you can paste into Hotmail or whatever.

I agree that it shouldn't play her voice without requesting it but I would like to hear the providers voice (by clicking).  A woman's voice can make or break it for me.  I fell hard for my last girlfriend because she had this amazingly cute voice.  On the other hand, one provider I was considering seeing sounded like a 65 year old with emphysema like the kind you hear in vegas playing slots.  I never did end up seeing her :-)

A few pics, rates, contact information, and a little "About Me" section is all we really need to decide if we're interested.  At least as far as I'm concerned, I don't care about bells and whistles.  Unless you know something we can do with some bells and whistles.

The form will tell me whatever email YOU tell me ... or none if you don't put it in ... as well, there is alternative on my site :-)

All been done since my earlier post.
