I work part time as a tax preparer and one time I did a return for a woman who did parties for women where she sold lingerie and "Adult Novelty Items" She brought in a list of all her expenses and she had spent a lot on batteries. So if you use batteries for items used in a trade or business you can deduct them.

I would have loved to have seen the demonstration.

I was kind of jokingly wondering if a meeting with a provider could be considered a business expense.  I feel like I've heard stuff like that being considered "business entertainment" and actually being eligible as a business expense.  As a self employed lad I might have to look into that :P
