for birth control while providing?

The post below got me thinking.

I've had a provider (or a stripper) tell me they are using birth control pills, or the shot, or an IUD.

I would assume NO lady would rely on the condom for that, but I could be way off on that one.

DO YOU use birth control? And what sort? if you don't mind me asking.

:)

She doesn't want the chemicals and drugs messing up her biology.  Doesn't bother me cause I've been snipped if something should tear, rip, or slip at the wrong time.

Probably, she's one of very few.  Just proves what assumptions usually are.

The pill, in case of an accident.

I personally do not believe in abortion for myself (unless something horrible happened-- like rape) so there's no way in hell I'd rely soley on condoms only.  Plus being pregnant is probably horrible for business:)

It is a good alias though. I'm sure we'll start seeing derivatives of it too. halfspermproofbunker, drunkspermproofbunker, assclownproofbunker...LOL

They need to be inserted by a doctor, but are quite effective and can be left in place for 10-12 years.  They fell out of favor in the 70's, but there have have been lots improvements to them since that time.

I have a popular IUD called Mirena- low dose progesterone. The hormonal IUDs can only be used for 5 years before they necessitate removal, but the copper ones are good for 10. Thinking of going that route soon.

BTW, IUD insertion was the single most painful moment of my life. Not surprised more women don't have it.

My mom got pregnant w/my brother while having an IUD... she kept telling her doctor she thought she was pregnant, they finally checked & it had come lose or something & presto, a baby brother... this was also back in 1981, so I'm quite sure they have gotten more reliable, just like every other form.

but then I didnt get a refill and found myself hornier then ever....good times, but
I am still going back to my method of birth prevention as I get super paranoid about even the juices...I am always thinking about those zoids...you never know when they decide to swim upstream!

I love my IUD  sound like a punk band. lol  no really its great no remembering, and for me and many women no periods...  but it still does not prevent STD's  so use cover kids...

Kisses,
Lexi

.... condoms of course (male at the moment) but I learned  beginning in elementary school never to trust condoms ALONE sticking to the subject of pregnancy prevention anyways.   I've always been on different versions of the pill. I've been tempted to take "the shot" but still using the pill....I can remember to take a pill everyday at the same time, I prefer to .....my motivation is not wanting kids mainly because I don't like them.

An ex_gf had IUD...  (Planned Parenthood RN, actually)  I used to hit the retreaval thread in certain positions...  OUCH!!
A certain young provider I saw a few times, used only a condom.  After the action, she would disappear into the bathroom & make it into a water-balloon to check it's intergrety.  I thought she was in there a long time...
